muhahah, Im fixing a lot right now, well I would like to know where exactly you found the "bot route issues" I only know one: In the lower classroom the zombies (ooh, sorry we´re not saying the Z-word) get stuck, but once you killed off the first wave, the furniture is gone.
Anyways, I dont know how to do the framing fro the windows.. when I add a mesh now, it ignores the substract one and I got one solid bar instead of a window.
Oh and to anyone who wants to try it: Have fun and look at the textures! Their ugly and cheap but I made them myself! Went through my school taking pictures of the walls.. great.

hi kai ja ich bin deutscher, münchner um genau zu sein aber jetzt lassen wir unsere internationalen kollegen wieder teilhaben. ;D for the bot issuses i`ll post pix. for the frames and stuff i guess you need to find or create static meshes. i never ever did one click in the mapping section of the U-ED but as i understand it you dont add blocks and walls to a empty world but you carve your level out of a solid block. the downside of this method is you cant add something later. you have to plan it before you start substracting. but there are good mappers around. Doomest, Doyora, kyben for example. maybe they help you. i am sure they will

Well, my school is in the middel of a giant nothing because I carved out a big block first.. nevermind. You showed me my design errors and thanks for, that, but I refuse to use rails! They are just too dirty for my beautiful, clean school. Looking forward to the bot mistakes so i can fix them. Thanks again

Kai, I've noticed your map is really just plain empty... Can I offer to make some static meshes for you? They wont be the best you've ever seen, and I wont skin them, but you'd atleast have the files,

Well really you need to tell me what you need. I don't go to public school so I really don't know what schools have in them. And I don't know if German schools are different from American schools.
So just let me know and I'll get to work on it ASAP, and yes I'll UV map them.

Well what do I need? The knowledge how to put etxtures on static meshes to beginn with, but thats not important, I can figure that out somewhere.. hmm so no puplic school for this cowboy, eh? Well, I will try and "fill up" my school as much as possible and then repost here.. oh, I would be happy about a bench. just an ordanry inside bench. no lean though so basicly something I could make out of 2 brushs...

kai, you don't really need a tutorial on how to apply textures to static meshes. Either they are automatically implemented, or you simply edit them to have them on the "static mesh browser" under "materials"

By the way, Medic, the quote in your sig is from when we beta tested Hospital yesterday, And Kai, I'll start and likely finish that in like ten minutes from now.

You might make static meshes for bags of drugs, spent handguns, syringes and used condoms. Or just walk down to your local public school and wander through

Either they are automatically implemented, or you simply edit them to have them on the "static mesh browser" under "materials" To apply textures, no, but to UV map and make the textures is a whole different boat. I don't know if Abyx meant that he'd UV map it, but just not actually make the texture for it, or if he was just going to make the 3d model and send him the file.

this gets all so confusing... well I´ll see what my good homeschooled friend Abyx sends me and until then, I´ll proceed making stuff with brushes..

Okay, Kai, here.
To make a 3D model, you make shapes and whatever to make what you want, okay? Okay.
To apply a texture to it, give it more realism in terms of colors, you have to basically flatten the entire model out in a way that you can skin it, which is UV mapping.
But I'm not gonna actually texture that UV map.
I already finished the bench using a picture that Mr. Medic gave me(And it's UV mapped, just gotta get my dad to show me how to apply the UV map to the model, being as he never did), and then it's done.
I'm also modelling a school desk for the hell of it.
