One of my favorite strategies is if i'm a shotgunner, buy a Winchester (or pick one up) and make sure it's full. When your sniper runs out, jog over to him and swap. Snipers don't make a lot of money, but they help keep those damned Sirens, Bloats and Timmys off of your team a little longer. Fill the gun and repeat.

Oh yeah, strategy... umm... talking about questionable acts with ice cubes while defending a house keeps you focused?

It was like playing Time Crisis or Area 51 with this buddy of mine Phil back in Colorado... little, goofy fella, great friend and all... but jesus was he fast and accurate with a pistol. Our games basically consisted of me shooting the corpses that he left behind for fun... he was THAT good. I mean, Abyx sucks for the most part, but it was kinda like that. Hmm, don't use shotgun shells/powerful weaponry in the first two/three waves. Mostly unneeded, as a 9 or two will take everything down. Save the ammo and cash for the tough stuff. |

I use Handcannon, bullpup and shotgun. Handcannon for killing big ones (and bloats), bullpup for popping heads and shotgun for crowds. This means that I can also last fairly well on my own if I get cut off. But ti's not efficient. I rely quite heavily on ammo pickups. The trader is often too expensive unless I get a good round.

Handcannon is pretty sweet... certainly kills bugs dead. Does the Winchester's aim actually improve with iron sights, or is it just fluff to help you find the center of your screen?

It just makes it easier to aim AFAIK. It's handy though.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I love it... I just got really used to NOT having it in 1.0... just wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting a shot by not zooming.

It's handy for finding the center of the screen. There really isn't a realistic aiming system in KF like in Ghost Recon or something.

I didn't think so, but I was wondering if it like tightened your shots, kind of how the chain gun fires slow and accurate or fast and spread out in UT2k4. Glad to know.

Not really, but it does help get rid of some of the blind shots. I enjoy shooting things in the foot with the winchester iron sights. ;D |
