It takes place during the firebombing of Tokyo... which was pretty atrocious, all things considered... it killed more people than the bombings of Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and even Dresden. They said that the firestorm it created was so powerful it would cause people's clothing to explode in flame while they were running from it. Probably the worst bombing in the history of warfare.

yeh that does sounds pretty bad il look into tryin to get that anime. anybody watched any episode of wolf's rain, its set in a post-apocalyptic future where humans live in large domed cities surrounded by wasteland, wolves are believed to have been extinct for 200 years. it sounds promising any views on it?

Very, very strange. Wolves are able to change between human and wolf form, so they can pretend to be people, and the wolves are searching for a girl who is supposedly a flower or something. Lots of flower imagery, a lot of juxtaposition of reality and illusion. Good voice acting, good animation, unfortunately I only saw bits and peices of it so I can't give much of a story synopsis. All in all I'd say its above average. Oh, and there are a lot of characters, and its always fun to see them meet and interact with one another.

Could watch either Serial Experiments Lain or BoogiePop Phantom and then create a webpage devoted to trying to justify why either makes any sense...

First episode, IIRC, Kiba(the white wolf) fights with Tsume, the wolf leader of a group of human thieves, for some reason or another, and loses. He is then captured by the humans, then rescued by Hige, who convinces him to pretend to be humans at times(run on sentences!). I believe Tsume leaves the group of thieves after the death of one of them(a kid). Two scientists that used to be married are working on "Cheza," who is the flower maiden and the reason Kiba came to the city in the first place. (Wikipedia tells me the guy's a detective, but I don't remember that coming up in the part I saw. What is important about him is he is deathly allergic to wolves).
That's all I can remember...I saw it about five years ago or so.

FLCL is only about six episodes, and they play it on adult swim every now and again, so you might not need to buy the DvDs. Lets see...IIRC its two episodes per DvD in the U.S., and six DvDs with one episode each in Japan, so that'll probably run you close to 100 bucks to get the whole series. Its a pretty funny and random series, and there are a lot of pop-culture references, both American and Japanese; I'm sure I only caught about half of them, but its always fun to see them. Personally, I think its among the best animes I've ever seen. It really screws with your head, and not in the gay-with-an-angel way that NGE did.

Don't forget that when you start bidding the prises will often run up till twice/3 times the origional prize. Don't fall for that

Gay-with-an-angel... lol... I like that.. I thought that the series was pretty darn overrated... course I don't think it got much more "ug" worthy then you-know-who doing you-know-what to the sight of you-know-which-girl while she slept in the hospital. The looking down at this hand scene... not needed to fulfill my life's ambitions
Best bet, use Limewire, but only if you're a dirty rat bastard downloading pirate whom I would never ever support, approve of or condone. In court.

TOP 8 best anime 'till now. (UD's point of view):
-Elfen Lied (horror/ecchi/drama) -Cowboy Bebop (action/drama) -Trigun (too-many-genres-busted-together-in-a-revelation) -Texhnolyze (drama/drama/drama/horror/horror/horror/drama/horror) -Wolf's Rain (drama/action) -Excel Saga (new-comedy-gender-called-MADDNESS) -Gunslinger Girl (drama/action) -Gungrave (action/drama)
All of them deserve a top 1 place, I just can't decide which one is the better. All of them carry a deep wide load of sentimentalism, since I always considered animes better if they transmited something to the viewer than just plain action and sex (like most Holywoodian movies). Oh and add schoolgirls to it. I really hate those animes.
