This thread was constructed for those of us wishing to talk about the upcoming release of KF version 2.5 without spamming the bejezus out of Alex's thread detailing the release itself.
Now on with the speculation...*serious face engage*
Flamethrower - Of what I've seen the model for the Flamethrower looks highly sketchy, but theres no reason that it will remain this way for the final release, the fire effects looks top notch. And the information regarding its use is highly interesting. My best bet is that it would be located in a section of its own called 'Area' due to the fact that it focuses on light area damage. Or perhaps it would be located in the 'Equipment' section due to the fact that is has other uses aside from that of inflicting damage, such as flame walls...
Gibbing System - The screenshot of this, to be honest was terrible.
I had no idea what I was actually looking at, the concept however will be a blessing to allow more monsters on screen simultaneously with less lag.
Story mode - Extremely awesome idea. One issue I have though with this idea is that there is very rarely any decent maps made for Killing Floor, and I for one love it when a Map compliments the game.
This mode has awesome potential. Sort of like the 'Assault' for Killing Floor, as 'Survival' is a build from Invasion.
I can picture it now - running through the streets...a vicious thunderstorm rages...illuminating hundreds of zombies flocking towards a small group of marines escorting a truck full of survivors to an evac point. If the truck takes too much damage before you get it to the destination you fail. So protect that fucking truck! etc.
Updated Visuals - I quite frankly enjoyed the textures of the initial KF 2.0 release, however that was until I sampled the previous version of killing Floor and shat my pants.
The new monsters will be uber scary - I will ejaculate with fear.
i enjoy the 'Silent Hill' style of hellish grime coating the very fabric of existence - this will bring the game back for the hardcore fans as well as give it a more frightening edge for new players.
Bug fixes - Well we can all hope to see various bug fixes as we each have encountered several. My main gripe is the med-syringe bug where you fail to heal yourself.
Other than that, perhaps an update to the game so that it allows late joiners to join some servers - I had issues at a recent LAN where people were unable to join a server. And with the Bullpup, occasionally the zoom fails to work. it will zoom for a moment and then randomly zoom back out again - proving frustrating.
Apparently I've heard of some Karma bugs - I've not run into any of those (no pun intended).

SPECULATION
Perhaps napalm grenades.
And a fucking drill to shut-up mad-max lol.
I got some strong ideas for some Story-mode maps.
*The truck one featured above ^
*Setting a bomb within a nuclear power-plant in order to destroy the city and the specimens within it. Must progress through the building, find a code to open the vault doors etc...
*Military base - Activate power to charge the tank, must hold the facility and protect the vehicle while it charges, then use the tank to destroy the gate and race to freedom. While driving on the rough dirt track to freedom, a blockade of Fleshpounds are your final battle.
*A small outward-bound village over-run with specimens hides an underground bunker where a scientist charged with keeping specific data relevant to the specimens is keeping safe. using any means necessary you must obtain the data this scientist holds. Find the entrance to the bunker, and find your way to the heart of the mess.
