u have to manually mark the full link with the mouse and copy/paste it, the forums link markup system screws it up. The story part could be the protection of a noncombatant/scientist enclave. if zombies brake the last door down they get all the tasty ppl and its gameover. plus it would change the game mechanics a bit as players would no longer try to run away or glitch. and somehow i just cant imagine ppl caring about the story in kf, this game always was about pure gameplay imo Actually that's like an old idea of mine I had... where the team was constantly being forced backwards until they couldn't retreat farther. As the creatures pushed forward, the doors and barricades would cease to be repairable and the spawn points for the enemies would move closer to the end of the map... I had thought this back when we were trying to get mounted machine guns and landmines into play, so I'm not sure how a game like that would go here. I always love that last stand kinda scenario.

i love Last Stands as well, thats kinda why i love this mod, because often thats what every match seems like, Although there are the Story-Wave maps that are different.
Theres an idea - maybe have three gametypes, sort the traditional Survival maps into one catagory, the Wave-Progressional maps like Frantic, The Hive, etc in another catagory (perhaps simply called "Progression" and then the Story-Mode maps in their own catagory. Perhaps called "Missions". Yeah that would be cool.

i have had an idea bouncing round my head for a while and that is of a map set in a city tower block of flats, your objective is to go floor by floor (bout 10-13 floors) and rescue survivors if any-one has been in those nasty tower block's then you can imagine what it would be like after a zombie out break lol. what do you people think?

HAY! Don't steal my idea, I'm learning mapping so can build KF-Hotel...its a four storey hotel biulding thats on fire on the fourth floor. So don't even think it buster!! Your too late!

Yeah you're kinda right. Oh well, I'm still gunna finish this map. Its gonna be a vanilla survival map but I can tell you that its going to kick arse, require you to think about where you go and what you do due to consequences for every action. I'm not sure if you could make bot-survivors work that well, but I don't really know...Depends on your skills at coding. And that is a mighty big building....sounds more like it would be a storymode map, in which case you should think about some other objectives and things to fuck with as well. Sounds like an interesting idea if you can make it work.

And i for one can prove that with KF-TheHive ... All the objectives and stuff .... they DO fuc* up big time! It takes countless hours and days to fix bugs that crop up from no-where!
Maul ... have you made a map for KF before?

Being a professional Software tester anything you do on a computer is guaranteed to have a bugs in it!!!!!

what i was thinking of when you rescue the survivors is that i cuts to a matinee scene and you see them run out of the floor/building or if unsuccessful they get owned by the zeds lol but it will probably be more like the tower each level you fight your way down and there may be small objectives like activate the power generator so the lights turn on so you can see (instead you use your torches and have to work as a team so not to run out of battery) or turn on a sprinkler to put out a fire ect. what do you people think?
