I dunno, I think via collaboration, we can at least pass with the coding skills between all of us, and of course, we can all simply learn to do it via experimentation. I think that the main thing that's being overlooked is artistic challenge. Alex was a really amazing artist when it came to the mod, and quite the shoes to fill.

True, but we have creativity, and a basis to work from... I think it's possible.

This is the first I hear about it.
What can be said that hasn't already been? It's sad. And a waste.

Ouch, this one got ugly pretty quick! Alex, I'm sorry to hear that buddy. You worked unbelievably hard to bring KF to life and in all instances, it was a success. Sometimes life just catches us off-guard and we're faced with some difficult challenges. As a friend and fellow artist, I know the devastation of losing precious work. (My own harddrive was literally fried because of a power surge, resulting in 2 months of work lost) It's a real shame that it had to happen, but perhaps this may be an opportunity to seek out new horizons and start something fresh and new. I feel your pain buddy, and I'm going to back up my own stuff in a few minutes! Thanks for a fantastic mod Alex. I'll see you online!

I suggest to make a new thread about the planning of the next steps. I'll gather a list of things, I would like to have help with, code-wise (Bugs that are not yet fixed etc)

The first step I would take would be using the new thread as a team roster. Gather all of the volunteers that are willing to work and put them in their respective roles. WIth their given roles, they now have a certain responsibility to withold and will have the will and freedom of creating stuff (it's better than us right now running around doing our own little independent things). After we have all of our objectives set, we can begin giving our volunteers or our new "team staff" things to do to better the future implements of KF.

I'm learning mapping still. Would be a lot quicker and easier if mr.medic was home :\

Me too. Just spend 1 1/2 hours on a map. It now has 5 rooms, very... creative textures, two weapon lockers, 4 player spawns, path nodes for the bots, a failed attempt at making a skybox and ... yeah, that´s about it. ;D
The textures are limited to the size of the rooms you want them to be on, aren´t they? *a general shout in the room*

On BSP you can use any texture anywhere you want.
