Let´s see ... skills ... I used to be good at languages, but you can see what two months of not using any english whatsoever has done to those english skills  . I need time to rebuild that and even when I´m done ... 70% of the forums is out of Great Britain or the US anyway. Photoshop: I once used every filter on a picture. Maya/3D Studio Max: Never used those before coding: Two weeks ago I bought a book about C/C++ and started to read it. So far I only found out that programming has a lot in common with/is based on maths. I`m not good at maths. Well ... I´ll go on with that book then and see how far I get. What kind of code does UT04 use anyway ? Some C variant, I hope ? |

It uses Uscript. IDK what this has in common with other scripting languages though.

Yeah, I've never touched Uscript before...
And Blue, I'm sure it did the same thing to your English that two years did to my Japanese... lol... I feel your pain man.
So, the way I see it, we have the combined experience to keep going, at least for awhile. I emailed Alex about the project, and hopefully he'll help out a little with some tips and starter points.

Uscript can be somewhat easy to get into if you're comfortable with coding languages. If you know javascript, you should be able to do passably in it, provided you take the time to learn it. I'm have 2 classes dedicated to learning Ued, so I will probably be able to help out, at least a little. After I finish up my map, I was planning on learning how to model/skin anyways.
Oh, and for everyone bitching about fraser, if you didn't know this yet, click on his profile, and look at the username written in green writing. Fraser is mrownage. There, I said it.
This truly does suck, though, Alex was probably one of the best modders I've ever seen. I don't think I've seen anyone else produce so much great looking content with only backup coders and audio makers.

All I got to say is wow. You guys did a good job of fulling up 4 pages of insults in less than an hour. I don't think any other thread has gotten as much attention as this one. Bravo.

I know, it's kinda sad, since if they spent a total of 4 seconds looking at his profile, they would have found that he was mrownage and just kinda ignored anything he said.

Well, think of it this way. It's like a six year old calling an adult a doo-doo head, and the adult actually taking the time to pick apart their insult and be offended by it. mrownage is the 6 year old. Who would you be, in that circumstance? |

Can we focus on the mod now? I didn't start this thread to house a flame war... we have a problem, and we need to figure out how to solve it.
I've briefly touched upon Java... it's been awhile though... not sure how much help I can be in that department.
