Those are voodoo zombies. They aren´t real zombies because they are still alive in a way. They just recieved major brain damage in the process and are now kind of ... retarded. The real undead however do bite. They just don´t digest. So, and this is a thing that happened to interest me for a while (and for a while being 30 seconds actually): Do zombies swallow ? By the way: Look at medic´s wiki link and search for the "zombie walk". Quite an interesting idea actually, I especially liked the bit where one uncool driver tried to push through the crowd and the "zombies" got pissed and starting damaging his car ;D. Zombie Walk ... this really is something. Considering I always dressed up either as a zombie or Death itself at costume parties ( I think I nearly killed the grandma of one of my former classmates back then... she looked at me, horrified, and I just sorta stared back while walking past her) people propably wouldn´t be all too surprised to see me lurching through the city. |

Voodoo zombies, as you call them, is where zombies originated from, someone just thought one day "Hey, wouldn't it be scary if dead bodies could kill people and create more of their kind?".

Combine the "real" zombie with rabies, and you got the classic undead zombie archetype. Except, not really undead of course.
I always wondered if a mutated strand of rabies would become our zombie apocolyptic doom. Get out your shotguns boys!
