For KF 1.0 I started a mutator that had the Zombie vs Human theme going on as well. I was so appaled with the AI that I wanted a player to have control over the Zombies. The idea itself was like 1 Zombiemaster against a team of players, which was a bit like Dungeon Keeper. As the master, you could control the zombies like RTS-style telling them where to go, which players to attack etc, making for a nice strategic element. I even planned for the Zombiemaster to be able to possess one of his zombies at his will. Even had thought of a nifty point-buy system to make it balanced BTW I don't think the 6 playerlimit of servers is a drawback. Seeing that this is a small Mod for a game that has slightly outdated technology and a small playerbase, you still get full servers now. Mods that require dozens of players most likely never get played.

Zombie Master ;D

How about A game starts and there is lets say 30 seconds warm up, Everyone is human at start but as you go on, three players (with an increased player amount up to 16 maybe) turn into zombies. Then they eliminate the players (through their own team work) (infecting someone is a idea but it'll be hard to work out) if you get killed by a zombie your out for the round. Killing all humans results in zombies win. As for the Humans they can make barricads, strongholds, and plan as a team how to survive, they have 2 ways to win. 1 Defeat all Zombie players or 2 finish the main objective (i.e. Escape with Helicopter)
Thats my idea

Personally I'd just as soon stick with zombie panic, but I think it would be cool if all the ammo/weapons that spawned during the match spawned in the beginning, so anything aside from the gun the guy was holding would be lost if a zombie sneaks up on ya. I also think the best idea would be a time limit, say 10-15 minutes, so the humans would just have to survive that long to win.

I agree with the small player count being nice. It's pretty cool that the game actually shines with the small player count.
The option for more wouldn't be bad either though. Wouldn't be necessary to play that way, but the option is there.

Faust, the MUT you described is planned to be a full game..eventually/hopefully, I think it's called Infestation.
I'd like to see a mod like this eventually, don't forget Zombie Panic is for HL and not UT, don't give them the advantage!

I am certain I've heard something akin to that MUT as a HL2 mod.

You had the idea first. You made it alone, they propably needed a whole team for it, those suckers.

Zombie Panic clone, Is aw that right from the start:P
But add a dash of BrainBread(NPC zombies added in) and you've got a new type.
And besides, I thought these guys were specimens, lab created things. Not actuall zombies, that bite, and turn you, or could infect you =/
Everyone says ZOmbies, but they aren't, you get bit, you don't turn:P lol

Everyone says ZOmbies, but they aren't, you get bit, you don't turn:P lol That's the popular beliefs of zombies, just because you don't turn when bit doesn't mean they aren't zombies. Something is classified as a zombie when a body is reanimated, moving, but not living. Alex himself I believe said they're dead. But I'm not 100% sure.
