Hey Everybody, JacksonL here, again, with a new map! I definitely like close quarters maps over out-door maps, but I felt like giving an outdoor map a try. So, I wooped out my old terrain skills, and started at KF-Desert. I know it might not be much, but its a desert, what can you expect.The trader is miles away, but don't worry, when everyone spawns, there should be a bullpup near by, if not below you. THIS MAP MAY BE EASY, not sure yet, please tell me if it is. I mostly made this map because here, in KF-Desert, the main point is to practice teamwork, and gettin your brother(or sister's) back. Looks cool. Does it have any wonderful secrets like your last map? Oh, and don't forget to post in the "Map List" thread when you release a new map.

hi jack first of all: try to read this statement with a friendly male voice in mind. ok. this map is to big and not suitable for kiliing floor. cut it down to 25% of its actual size and it starts working.
this is of course my opinion and my taste.

okay, so, it's absolutely huge, and practically impossible to get to the trader in the 55 seconds from the places to defend. unless you camp outsite the trader on open ground
the lighting is absolutely crap, you've got KF furry vision + added fuzz
and you cant see the zombies, in particular, stalkers. they are completely invisible in the bad light
and the hugeness of the map leaves the enemies wandering around the opposite side lost
the spawns, sometimes you may come out next to the trader, but you could be anywhere. if there isnt a full server, your boned.
i was playing offline and luckily had aload of bots, but if you were playing like 2 people on a server, you'd have to try and find them first >.>
the saloon makes a great defence place, one door downstairs, and you can step off the balcony when over run
so final words, good for snipers, very open, but light needs improvement
[considering the size, this would make for a good map for a test army jeep or something]

From the screenshots it looks like Mars. Earth doesn't have hills like that anywhere.

The lighting is kind of bad, but that's really the only major gripe I had with it. It was still a fun map to play, and the "Sloth's Saloon" made me smile.

Yeah, it could use some more work. Just tweak up that terrain, it looks horrible. Put more textures on it, and scale the one you have on now so its better looking. Add some more buildings, why would a saloon be sitting there in the middle of nowhere? Some tents around the wagon? More bushes, cactus's, dead animals, anything that can fill up a desert. Put rocks around those things you call hills, they are too smooth. Make better lighting, and most importantly, put some love into it. I'm not trying to be mean, but there could be alot of interesting things you could add to this bland map. Check google for some good desert pictures. Pretend its for a contest for the best looking map and the winner gets a million dollars. ;D
