I have downloaded KFv2 I have downloaded the update for it, and I should have the special addon. I can open Killing Floor fine, and then I go to join a server, and it will bring up a screen saying It is loading tha map "kf-tao" or whatever, then the whole game disapears and leaves this message. UT2004 Build UT2004_Build_[2004-09-02_05.02]
OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600) CPU: AuthenticAMD PentiumPro-class processor @ 1802 MHz with 511MB RAM Video: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700LE (7189)
General protection fault!
History: UObject::ProcessEvent <- (ZombieClot KF-Tao.ZombieClot, Function KFMod.KFMonster.PostNetBeginPlay) <- HandleStream <- UActorChannel::ReceivedBunch <- (Actor ZombieClot) <- UChannel::ReceivedSequencedBunch <- Direct <- UChannel::ReceivedRawBunch <- DispatchDataToChannel <- BunchData <- UNetConnection::ReceivedPacket <- UNetConnection::ReceivedRawPacket <- UTcpNetDriver::TickDispatch <- UpdatePreNet <- ULevel::Tick <- (NetMode=3) <- TickLevel <- UGameEngine::Tick <- Level Tao <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Realloc <- 676F4C57 0 FArray <- FArray::Realloc <- 0*2 <- FMallocWindows::Free
Anyone know whats up with this?

I read it again..... I followed all the steps. The only one I'm not positive about is the Editors choice patch, but seeing as how I JUST bought the Editors choice edition of unreal2004..... I cant see why the patch wouldn't be installed.

I (as well as my buddy next door) am having the same issue as seemingly everybody else.
I try to join any server and I get the dead guy's hand twitching. If I left-click the game crashes. If I right-click the screen goes black.
This is what the computer told me when the game crashed:
UT2004 Build UT2004_Build_[2005-11-23_16.22]
OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600) CPU: GenuineIntel Unknown processor @ 2197 MHz with 1022MB RAM Video: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (9131)
General protection fault!
History: UGameEngine::AdjustNetConnection <- AttemptLoadPending <- TickPending <- UGameEngine::Tick <- Level KF-BioticsLab <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Realloc <- 10910191 0 FArray <- FArray::Realloc <- 0*2 <- FMallocWindows::Free
The game is installed correctly. All updates, the ECC whatever addon pack, the patch installed twice. Everything was done right. If my neighbor makes a server I have the same issue with joining his. If I make a server he has the same issue with joining mine. If I try to join anybody else's server I have the same problem.

Did you check if your firewall is blocking you?
All works fine for most people here, the ones that had the problem got it solved one way or annother, so I'm sure we can solve yours aswell. One thing is that the host of an UT2k4 match has to turn off his firewall completely and if he has a router forward port 7777

How does one go about "Forwarding port 7777"?

I found that site this morning after reading the post before mine. I don't have my router's access info right now, I'll see what my parents think of me opening ports and such when they get home.
Thanks, guys.

Yeh, My dad is overprotective of my internet. Even though opening port 7777 won't do very much.
