I think the virus is more horrifying... nanomachine zombie narritives will begin to surface more though, promise you. It's like Terminator, people fear technology that runs out of control. In a world of modern medicine, the virus isn't AS scary as it used to be... though with the tori influenza, mad cow disease, AIDS... it still works. But look at Cell... no one considered the idea that it could be a terrorist plot to create zombies until now... (not really a spoiler, they don't have any proof, just most of the characters seem to think that... and it has nothing to do with the story)

I don't know if I'd have the balls to kill myself... I consider myself a strong person... not necessarily physically, but I like to believe I'd have the conviction and courage to protect the ones I love... even if it means killing myself should I be bitten... I don't know... what about a loved one? I think deciding if another dies is a far more difficult choice... look at the beginning of 28 days later... christ what a decision to make in 10 seconds... I think that scene screwed with my head more than anything.

Here's a particularly morbid hypothetical...lets say your friend/loved one is bit and going to be zombified due to infection eventually. What would you do?

I think I'd have to give them the choice - kill themselves, have me kill them, or point them as far away from the rest of the surviving party and leave them to wander so they can try life on the other side without complicating things for the remaining survivors.

If it got to that point for myself, I'd definately take the long walk. I wouldn't be in a hurry to be zombified, but once I hit the point of no return I'd have to give the shambling lifestyle an honest try.

Do you seriously believe that makes sense? I dare you to go out and find a friend/family member/random person, have them read that sentence(collection of sentences? That punctuation made mr. Comma hang himself), and see if they can figure out what you were trying to say.
