Black-screen HOTfix

Stop the presses! Breaking news!
I stumbled upon something, when making a personal menu for KF. Made a few adjustments to the map,
casually, and all the sudden the mid-screen text was showing again - the bug widely known as the black- screen bug.
I can see to what address I am connecting, packages being downloaded and if the connection is simply stall.
However, the actual black screen is still there, and you do your usual [esc] and click {server browser},
but you can see, at least partly, why you ended up there.

Although, not fully tested, I have found nothing that would point to this causing any other problems,
but please backup your KF-Menu before installing.

I also included my personal menu, with a pair of nifty batch files to launch your menu of choice.

Note! This fix is already in the 2.11 bundle installer available at the main site!

if this can be tested even more, would it be possible to release as maybe a small hotfix/patch?

The blackscreen bug is probably the most annoying one KF has, I actually believe its what turns people away from the mod, if you can't see why you're not connecting it can become very annoying.

It wasn't a problem for me, that the menu disappears. But now, it's much better.

And your own menu, pix: Well, it remebers me more at SimCity as at Killing Floor.

ah sorry man, havent tried it yet. I'll download it tonight or tomorrow night and try it out.

When I logged onto Gibberstein it said something about a redirect being installed by you (Pix), is this it? Im a tad confused now, thought this was all client based, however whilst logging onto gibb I got some sort of message saying it was downloading something!

Good news guys, tested this and it works a treat. If you try connecting to a problematic server you will now be given the standard UT2K4 connect screen that will display what exactly is happening when you're connecting.

There are still some servers that are problematic, but these servers look like they havent been setup correctly.

Well done PiX, this should be part of a patch.
