ive sorted out how to add bots in listen server mode, and tweeked my settings for smooth game play only thing now is this map rotation crash, it dose it every time mele weapons or not , i have found a work around in that you can disonect from the game as soon as you die and go back to the main page and load a map from there, it dose however break up the flow of game play. it might be an idea to allow people to restart on the map they were just on. but ideally the crash dose need sorting. dont know if its a mac thing specificly but its the only major thing that fucks KF for me at the moment. also ive been inspired' and have come up with some ideas around broadening KF but ill spout that shit some other time. keep on keepin on  |

I think that is more likely to be a performance issue rather than a bug. What's your system specs?

im using a g4 1.5 gh 15inch powerbook 512 ram osx 10.4.9. i never get crashes playing unreal.
also im intrested in maybe getting a second hand pc just for gaming' im not down with spec lingo on pc's so any advice would be cool, im basically looking for a machine that could run games such as unreal-halflife with the settings tweeked more up than down. money is abit of an issue' but i could probably stretch to about 300 pounds. i'd like to know if i could find a good enough machine for that kind of money' and where i might find it. thx
ps. found a sick as fuck mod for halflife called neotokyo, very slick and would love to be able to run shit like that.

Yes, I agree with medic here that what you just wrote about your system specs sounds rather piteous when it comes to UT, and KF especially...
What kind of crash is it?
Do you get a windows message or blue screen? I had a drivers issue that gave me blue screen while playing UT. Especially at map changes.

I doubt either, since it's mac I've got to agree it's just the mapchange bug that's been reported already. The only mac specific issue involves motion blur, which is due to os specific video drivers unlike the remainder of the game code which is not platform specific. |

hiya guys' thanx for the feedback' i hope this bug is one of the things that will be addresed in the 2.2 update.
having gone a bit mod mad recently ive tryed a lot of the supposedly better mods for UT2K and have found that there are only a few that really standout damnation being about the most original-and alien swarm being the most stable. lots of others look nice from the screen shots ect but you can only play them online or in some practice mode. but i have to say without a doubt so far i'd put killing floor up there' with a single player campaign, and some work on the stabillity side of things it could be a mod that people 2-3 years from now could still enjoy.
ps if any could help me with the where-what pc question.
