Level 1-2: Need Advice For Zombie Killin'

Hey, guys.

I can't get past the first wave of zombies in the second level.

I either lose too much ammo in the church of the first level, too much health, or both, and it's making it impossible for me to progress.

Do any of you have any advice or combat tips? I'd appreciate it.

I'd like a little more info than that.

The reason I get so little health at the end is because I use the axe, which gives the zombies enough room to bite me... or in the case of the big ones, cleave me.

I'm wondering if there are any combat tips to utilize the axe, or any health packs around to make the job easier.

Run, usually works. If you can progress without killing anyone, do.
