Saving and loading

How do saving and loading work? Whenever I click Resume single play it loads the training map, since I'm still on the first level it's no biggie, I just start a new game, but I can't skip the intro and it's starting to annoy me.

With a CAPITAL S

then it is bugged

you can't save, but you can load.

if that makes any sense.

Basically, as you progress in SP, your progress is recorded by checkpoints at the start of each new map.

Lets say you get to KFS-02 map , you will be able to resume from the start of KFS-02 at any time you wish by clickin the Resume SP Button on the main menu

you will keep all the guns and ammo etc. you had when you left the game.


If you click SINGLE PLAYER again and restart from the beginning, your save file WILL be deleted.

Ok. But what the OP said is still true. If you try to resume while you're in map 1, you end up in the training map. Not a big deal, but there it is. After that it works fine.

I've never had this experience, but ill check it.

It's probably as simple to fix as adding another (If) statement to the code.

No. I downloaded the KFs version from filefront so it's not that. Oh, and, is there a way to skip the intro?

Again, I just returned from testing it on my build ( should be almost identical to the File Front one)

and...it works fine

I click single Player .... wait till it loads KFs-01

then quit to main

and resume game

It will just load from KFS-Intro

Guess it should be loading KFS-01, but w/e that's small potatoes.

It's not loading training for me man.... I dont know what to say

But if it's not life threatening, just ignore it

In any case thank you, I think it's great what you are doing, with the support and the quick tweaks and fixes. Better than what can be seen at most commercial game forums. Keep up the great work.

BTW, sorry to bother you (again) but you haven't replied to the question about intro skipping.

Actually, my experience was that the training map loaded when I pressed "retry" after dying in map 1.

Retry, to the best of my knowledge simply loads the current map from the beginning.

I cannot resume any Checkpoint, if i press Return... just the menu text fades out but nothing happens. Its realy ARRR because the FirstLevel gets many times stucked if i meet the guy who give me the shotgun. After the sequence it says PRESS MOUSE ONE TO RESPAWN but nothing happens at all. I was one time in the second level with only 6 bullets, and now the game wont resturn.
Besides many bugs the mod realy rox!!!
I would be pleased if you can skip the scenes in the fix. it drives me crazy.
Besides that i cannot play online, it says all the time Downloading KillingFloorTextures. I allready did wait over 2 hours to get the texturs but thzen the game crashed...

Sounds lik you've got the wrong version of the mod.

Please check that the file you downloaded was not claled
