bugs are as much a part of software as the features that software has to offer. In fact, the more features available, the more bugs that will come with it. Agreed, and it is a major problem in some software houses because developers don't see testing as a vital part of the development process. bugs typically come from the interplay between features, which causes unexpected results. They can rise exponentially with complex software. With a product like KF I would agree, as pretty much the development at the moment is a one man show. But a lot of bugs appear due to lack of testing in the pre production e.g. feature specification, technical documentation. But generally I think the main percentage is interaction between modules or features, which is why agile testing is popular technique of changing your test process based upon the new components that are added on a weekly basis. I would imagine, as Alex is running the whole show with development and testing, he will be using a more Use Case testing procedure. This involves testing it as if he was a typical user and this means lots of gameplay to ensure that you have a large amount test coverage. I know he wants to get it just right so that is why we have to wait so we don't end up with a game riddled with bugs! Its all very boring stuff that I had to learn and its surprising how much I have forgotten LOL!

Uhm...if there's going to be a new version, WHY would you bother fixing the version that the new one is updating? And I don't think there's anyone playing 1.0, not often.

Why are you people making this so overly complicated.
==2.5 adds new content to 2.11.==
Thats all there is too it.

To clarify some thing, 2.5 isn't really a new "mod". It's still KillingFloor 2.0, Alex just decided to make it a full install, so new players don't have to download 2.0 + the 2.0 Hotfix and THEN download 2.5. Whether you have 2.0 installed, or you never installed KF before, you just install 2.5 and you're good to play.

We have to download the ENTIRE mod again? In a word, yes. All 200-300 (compressed) megabytest of it. By today's standards thats like.....well shit. Most ten minute modern game demos are 1 gigabyte +

I suppose, from what I've heard, having an update and a full version will be a very small difference anyways.
