NOT HAPPY ALEX :(

Alex, please finish KF before moving onto Depth.
I don't have UT3 nor do I have the money to buy a new computer in order to get Ut3. And Alot of people would be in the same boat as me. I do however have UT2K4.
And one of your modding projects happens to be for that older game...one of which will be dead soon anyway. So if you could at least give Killing Floor a decent goodbye instead of half-promoting a new final release and then ditching it for a newer engine mod. With the final cut of KF it will keep me and my money-lacking friends happy...for some of us this may be the last game we play. I think this will be for it for me, my nerding days are drying up...so it would good if it could at least be finished.

Please dont tell me you're sitting there typing this malarky with a half bottle of vodka on your desk, "Not a dry eye in the house" blasting out of your speakers, and clutching at your monitor in stunned anguish as you contemplate life without specimen mashing.

Because in absolute fairness. You have nothing to worry about I plan to finish KF 2.5 and release it, and *hopefully* before the new year. The fact that I have a depth banner just means that I made a cool banner for depth. Yay.

And as a thought ---> Until you start paying me, or sending your hot sister overseas to endlessly fellate me as im crunching mind bendingly futile nuggests of code through UCCmake in the name of showering you in hours of cost-free gaming bliss, I dont think I have much reason to care about whether you're "happy". or "sad" or really, any of the moods available on myspace.

I picked KF back up again for MYSELF, because i LOVE my game. and i ENJOY playing it. I reckon it'll be for those reasons that it gets another public release. God knows it's why it got even a single release in the first place, and why i didn't just drop it after first realizing that modding wasn't a point -> click ->" make cool mod " affair.

Mhh, I was hoping I could defuse this a bit before you replied to it, but alas, I overslept and had to go to work quickly.

"Defusing" in the sense that I´m pretty sure that maul was just trying to express his most positive feelings for this free modification of Unreal Tournament 2004, which you provided us with for free while working on it in your own spare time. While maul may have gone a bit overboard with his fandom I am sure that he realizes that this is a free, no-cost, nada money modification and that he has no right whatsover to expect anything more than what he already got from the developers of it.

Furthermore, I take this opportunity to express my own opinion and state that another update for KF would be great, I would host it, I would play it, but I won´t die without it. (ya, rly)

Now, at the same time I am able to play UT3 and looking forward to being able to play any modifications of it, so sue me.

Ah and another thing: You might have released it for others to play because you´re such a nice guy and like sharing with others and wanted to receive some feedback and earn money and fame ?

Jesus Maul, calm down, its things like this that end up pissing of mod makers, and therefore mods dont get finished!

I'll be honest, KF2.11 was IMHO an amazing send off for the mod, yes there's room for improvement, but KF2.11 fixed most major bugs, and got rid of some of the glitches in maps. Its abolutely fantastic news that Alex has decided to come back and give KF an official send off with 2.5.

Like Blue said (and yourself), the mod is free, Alex is spending lots of his spare time building a free mod, just think about this for a second, what do you do in your spare time? I'm a home owner with a busy career, all my spare time is spent sorting out my house & spending time with my GF, what little other time I do have I spend on gaming/computers. It's truly amazing that mod makers dedicate the amount of time they do to mods, and all I can say is THANK YOU.

Yeah some mods are cack, but the ones that shine really do amaze me, some of them even surpass the original game it might be based on, some are better than comercial games, and they're FREE!

EPIC themselves should also be thanked for this, without them supporting the modding world, PC gaming would have most likely ended up like console gaming, games for the weak minded.

Those are two points of Antigod´s that I want to underline. Then I want to add that I have not played UT2k4 or any of it´s other mods in ages, but I did play Killing Floor ... two days ago.

Bought it for KillingFloor and Alien Swarm. Anyways, as for what I do in my personal life since it's being swapped around is work, work, and work. Infact it's what I'm doing now!

Believe me Alex, if I could I would send you money, but I live in Australia, and my dollar is worth piss of many overseas currencies.
Also, I don't know your address, maybe let me know in an e-mail and we can sort out how I can pay you...I'm seriously (rly). I like this mod that much, seeing as how it may be my finality.
In my spare time I've been mapping for this mod. I wanna contribute to the beauty. *tears in eyes* and this wasn't necessarily a "have a go at Alex for being a lazy prick" thread but rather in a sense telling him not to work so hard - on the wrong things
When I saw the stuff for Depth I guess I went into panic mode...my mind said - Oh teh noes!
SO I apologise for seeming like an ungrateful dickhead who needs to be shot in the face.

Oh And I don't have a sister...yeah soz.
