I was just wondering, is there any particular reason the devs went with an American baseball bat, as opposed to a cricket bat? (Considering the UK-centric setting.)

Cricket bats aren't particularly cool
Aluminum bat = business.

Wow, not only necrophiliacs, but into bondage/discipline. It's a small niche, but I think the game can fit it.
What do cricket bats look like, anyway? Judging from cricket, probably boring.

I wouldn't call it shooting him down. He asked why we don't use cricket bats. A reason why was given. The theme is horror, not London.

actualy baseball is a little popular but we dont give a shit about putting it on tv over here.
hmm i still think that a metal plated cricket bat can can do some pretty nasty mj looking things to ur nose if you swing realy hard....

OMFG GOD GOD GOD GOD god god i just a good idea....A ROUNDERS BAT !!! ITS A PERFECT MINI MODEL OF THE BASEBALL BAT and is wooden like the cricket bat its combined...hehehe and it totaly can spaz up ur leg ...dont TRY THAT AT HOME
