Hello KF team, With some people we start modeling and we decided to remake your mod for Half Life 2. But we don't have any modelers and coders. :/ I am a mapper and I have a friend who make textures, and we need those people or we couldn't do it. If you want to help us or if you have ideas (map overviews, etc...) it will be without any problems. PS : We are a French team. expmini.free.fr/email : miniwitre[AT]gmail.com

lol? Even remotely original ideas must be harder to think up compared to finding a capable team to recycle one.

Interesting... Killing Fmoor: Source. HL2 has a working physics engine, so that is a plus. You aren't going to get very far with just a mapper and texturer. Good Luck though.

Lol at the above post. Anyway, be original. You CANT just take a mod, and go and make it again for HL2. I mean ask for permission, or atleast be originial buncha frenchies.

Without permission from Alex, you couldn't remake it even if you wanted to. You don't hold the copyrights to KF so a port or remake wouldn't be a good idea.

Killing Floor is also the name of a book which the author reserves all rights including name copyright. However, how many mods are there, that features a squad of soldiers, zombies, and guns? Yeh...and you think the first of them all(Quake) holds copyright? Besides, users that bought ut2004 don't have much rights with The Unreal Engine, unless they license it. They can claim copyright and they cannot make a profit(Suing is a profit, is it not?) In the end, it wouldn't be worth Alex' or Shatterlines Productions time, to sue anybody that would remake it. However, Alex certainly wouldn't hold respect for a team that simply ported over KF without any credits given to them at all.

The EULA for UEd states that use of the app prevents you from making a commercial product from it or selling it on any way shape or form, but it never says you relenquish your rights to the original content you made with 3rd party apps. It also expressely prohibits the use of any copyrighted material but when you are the owner of that material it's your business on how it's used. Exporting meshes, tex, sounds and music for import is a matter best avoided while there's nothing at risk for making a custom coop gametype.
