Ok.. Big Problem. There are apparently new players appearing on my server but when I want to play, there are no servers available. If they are then you cant connect to them. There were 2 actually 3 that were great servers.

MClaw's which for a time had high traffic. Then it died down. Then it was popular again. Great. But i have not seen it recently.

Kno's Was VERY popular and still would be, but i cannot connect to it.

Pmods.. its the french one, I think. Its out of date and has not been updated.

ZMFG Zombies would be fine, but the admin did not realize it wasn't patched and noone could join it because you either couldn't connect to it or neglected.

Then there is two that are just in and out and the names I cannot remember.

The point is that when there were servers available they were full. and i'd have the last bit of people that couldn't get in the other servers. I dont mind that. But today at 4PM I went through the entire server list and i couldn't connect to ANY of them.

I have a crappy DSL like with 44kbp/s max up stream, I'm still hosting. I had to tweak around with it for it to work decently but hey it works. People were hosting listen servers for a time and there were a record number of server I'd ever seen since i started playing KF (16 total). Listen is better than nothing because people join them regardless, unless its horrid ping.


If anyone on this forum with an internet connection hosted for the time they were online not doing anything, that is a benefit. There are a group of people who never get involved the forums, and when they see servers dissapearing they just leave and go to another game/mod/whatever. Do you want a community or will you be passive?

I think I could host a server from time to time, but I "only" have DSL with an upstream of 16KB/sec (a few months ago I only had an 31k modem^^). But an additional problem is that I'm behind some kind of router system that I got no control about (using this is the only method to get DSL in my region - it's a bit complicated ^^). For that reason I don't know if people can join on my server... but the lag would be too bad for most people here I think. I'm used to a ping of 200 while playing KF because most servers are in the US. Don't know if you can play with that...

Well it could be a 2 person server with a MaxInternetClientRate=8000 or 9000. Customize the wave so its not too long for 2 people and you have a original server.

I don't know whats got into you, because as far as I can remmember, you weren't the center or attention nor troublemaker. I advise you to stop this. The moderators set a firm example with Fraser.
