Hi, I really like this mod, and I was searching around when I found Ballistic Weapons- So I got the idea to combine them. It works with the Loadout mutator, so you start with various guns, but you can't restock ammo and you can't buy new guns. I was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to make it so you can buy ammo, or at the very least start with near-infinite. I don't think infinite ammo would be that hard, but I don't know how to implement it. Any help?

There is no way to "buy" ammo in-game without custom code added to Killing Floor to allow you to do so. And I don't think any of the Killing Floor coders, supports the idea of Ballisitic Weapons in Killing Floor. Sorry.

Mutators and KF = Stupid. KF is mutators. You have your clots, thats a mutator, you have what controlls them, thats a mutator, you have their spawn points, thats a mutator. KF is just an organised bunch of compatible mutators, that flow and work with each other.

Medic, stop being a smart ass. I meant UT2K4 mutators. Sorry . A mutator is just any file that modifys or changes gameplay...so every single .u file within KF is a mutator <_<

Nope. That's a mod. A mutator is what you call a mod if you work at Epic.
And on topic, you can use AdminPlus, and spawn ammo manually, but really, no "mutator" can make KF better. Worse is easy.

Nope. That's a mod. A mutator is what you call a mod if you work at Epic. But none of us here(?) work at Epic.

Mutator is just some name someone at epic gave a modification class that is used to run in conjunction with others on top of other gametypes. Mutator changes/adds/removes gameplay elements but needs gametype ojectives which are provided by the main gametype being either retail gametypes or user created gametypes aka- modifications, mods.
I agree there are a lot of ways to fuck up servers by adding useless mutators. It's fun to run them occasionally, rarely actually. Making them a regular occurance on the server usually has the effect of driving players away.

i dont wanna get flamed by you (the hardcore-killingfloor-community) but i have to say this:
everytime someone (including me) comes up with an idea, be it new sound or a new enemie or a tank or a mutator or whatever is new and wont fit at a first glance you reject it hard.
simply "NO" (to qoute ZombieButcher).
no discusion, no playing or fooling around with the new input no creative joking or looking at the potentials. the new idea is classified as dangerous. it poses a threat to KF and is killed as fast as possible. it could alter or "mutate" the holy KF and noone dares to take responsiblity for that by supporting such input.
it could be treason on alex and his child KillingFloor.
i think we have to open our minds on one side and i think we have to remain true to killingfloor on the other side. its not easy to keep this balance but it the way to keep killingfloor alive and kicking.
and now go ahead and toast me....

We never said you couldn't make it. You ask us, we tell you what we think. We told you. You don't like what we say? Don't post it.

Yeah, I've been getting this feeling, too. Most of the time, these "ideas" that people think up of are just minute changes and pose little threat - and still, forum regulars instantly shoot it down as if it was an idea intentionally created for the downfall of KF. Rather than conversing about the idea, I see alot of people use hostile remarks; which is pretty freakin' arrogant. These people are trying to help KF, they're not trying to destroy it. If an idea is bad, you can explain why it's bad and help them find an alternative idea. Firing down an idea point-blank or just simply belittling it is just not a way to go - we're just scaring potential help and potential players; which is something also unintelligent to do seeing as we only have a small community. KF won't be here for long if we keep scaring people away. Currently now, I personally think that we should mainly focus on addressing the small problems in KF and adding more stuff in, such as fixing why the server won't prompt you an error when you can't join, fixing the wave-bonus, and adding additional weapons/equipment. being that KF20 is pretty much still in its early production. I'm sure the majority of the people are fine with KF as it is for now, we just need to improve the little stuff and fix the annoying errors. Once we've addressed those basic errors for KF, we can later on start producing new ideas and concepts. To combat the fear of straying away from KF too much, why don't we just ask Alex what he had in mind and build off from there?

Yeah, alot of people seem to think ballistic weapons is fun. If they think KF is fun with ballistic weapons, let them play with it.
