Yeah, I can't say the Famas would be fitting of the setting. The bullpup works in so far as setting goes, it's just nerfed at the moment.

But as Abyx said, most of the weapons are modern... save for two. A modern day assault rifle would be the better choice for an upgrade. I know the FAMAS is French, but the BAR certainly isn't British, so why even bring that weapon up in the first place? We need a modern British assault rifle as an upgrade.
By the way, I'm pretty sure the British don't use Desert Eagles either...

No army actually uses the Desert Eagle as a side arm, to my knowledge atleast.

Abyx is the man.. besides, the Desert Eagle is a pretty ineffective side arm... it's heavy, carries less ammo then a 9mm or .45 pistol, and the extra stopping power isn't going to make that much of a difference in the long run.
It's also friggin' expensive.
EDIT:
One other thing, and I wanted to get the community's opinion on... I was suggesting to the dev team the possibility of a helmet cam, so that a player can monitor up to two (maybe three) of his comrades via screens in the upper corners. When they die, maybe have the screen go sideways on the ground with -LIFE SIGNS NULL- or something across the window. Could even make it grainy and low quality. What does everyone think of this? Pros, in my opinion, would be that it would increase the communication and coordination between players, would be something unique to Killing Floor as a whole, make the game a bit more exciting, and just be freaking cool. Not sure about major cons, but some have mentioned that the technology isn't common, and that it doesn't fit with Killing Floor... which I disagree with. I personally would bank on the side of fun instead of realistic everytime, but I'd like some opinions. Am I nuts?

Uwasa, that is honestly a kickass idea, seriously. But it might be a little laggy? I'm not sure. And if we want an upgrade from the L85, FN-Fal all the way, .

Yeah, having some sort of team-cam would indeed help display Killing Floor as a unique mod and will provide some pretty awesome fun to it.
If it dosen't lag gameplay by a significant amount, I'd like to see that.

I'm not sure how laggy it'd be... it could be low quality, or able to be disabled on slower servers... definately have a toggle to switch between them or turn them off mid game.

Maybe just have the teammate's statistics on each screen rather than video feed? just hp and what weapon, maybe even amount of ammo for thei selected weapon and amount of nades?

Nah, the cam thing is better. Just have a flatline indicator for HP and nothing else, and obviously you could see the weapon.

S.W.A.T 3 (A Swat Game, duh) did that. You were able to hit one of the keys like "Home" or "end" or "Page up" and etc and it'd switch to different team mates, which was perfect, because there was only 6 max people on a squad, and same with this. I say it'd be an awesome thing. But I suggest some thing that allows you to turn it off. Some itmes it might get annoying watching some one running into a wall for half an hour.
