I always thought in modding. If you join up with something, you just admit defeat.

OoH and KF have a completely different modus operandi and overall theme/end goal. That, and OoH is CRC's pet project, and he has stated that he's doing it by his lonesome. Not gonna happen. Grim, I understand that you might not have 20 dollars to spend at the moment, but if you work minimum wage (which is 5 bucks or so in Pennsylvania, last time I checked) part time 1 hour a day, you'd have it in 4 days. I don't know if you're a student at either a school or university, but even if you are, and you have enough free time to post on a forum and play KF, you should be able to change some priorities for all of 4 days. Same thing applies to younger folk. All it takes is some initiative in going up to someone you know or something and saying "Hey, can I wash your car for 5 bucks" or "Hey, I'll mow your lawn for 5 bucks". Honestly, though, look at this community. How many people under the age of 14 are here that are truly dedicated to the community? I think that most people who have settled with UT2004 have decided whether or not they play KF or not. Going to RO would expose it to a huge amount of people who haven't seen it before, and might decide they want to participate in the community.

I said I thought going to steam would be selling out, not that I still think that way. I no longer think so. Anyway, the call has been made, more or less. We still with 2k4 for now until we are comfortable.

Alrighty then. Perhaps a RO port is in order in the future, but I do understand we still need to get our feet firmly planted before we start walking.
I'll look into picking up a copy of RO to do a check of approximately how much work and people we would need to do anything with it in the future, since I was planning on getting a copy of RO anyways, since I like the game, and wanted to check out what else is under the hood engine-wise aside from the support for bloom and blur effects.
