hey im getting a really simple error message when i start up the game after installing killing floor 2.0 - it starts up witht he loading screen then pops up with window called -
'' Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library ''
which follows an error message -
''This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way. please contact the applications support team for more information.''
any help would be greatly appreciated as this looks awesome.
i have UT2k4 updated + the Kf2.0 patch. (didnt work pre-patch either)

Restart you computer. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling both UT2004 and KF. This is fairly unusual.

Don't want to be condescending, but you did do the UT, then patch 3369, then ECE, then 3369 AGAIN, and then KF?

There is no need to patch the game twice...
I havent, KF works fine on mine.

I haven't, lol. Didn't even know you had to patch it twice. Ah well, KF works fine for me.

there is no need for twice patching. Just do ut2004 install. ECE install then 3369 patch. Lastly, KF and u are done.

Actually, you have. ECE needs UT2004 to be patched at least to a certain version before installation, at least for people who got the first release, so the most practical way is to double patch.

ece overwrites newer files from 3369.
This issue, gui controller issues and umod issues should all be fixed by having a properly updated version of the game.
Dont blame us for making players jump through hoops.
