Hey Grim, are ya thinking about making rooms in the houses so you can actually go in? That'd be so awesome..

Hey Grim, are ya thinking about making rooms in the houses so you can actually go in? That'd be so awesome.. He's repeatedly said he's terrible with interiors. So it's unlikely, but I'm not gonna speak for him.

I'm not too bad with interiors anymore, still iffy. But I do not want to put in any interiors due to it'd just become WestLondon but bigger, everyone sits in the inside of a building (Police Station) and the entire outside has no point to it anymore, it's just looks for when you run for the building. So as for interiors, no, this map is for outside City play, if you just want to camp inside a building (nothing wrong with that) then that's what WestLondon can be for, I prefer to keep it "Run and Survive"

You should make a dawn version of the map, orange sky and all that.

The reason everyone sits inside the police station is because the specimens only come one way. I'm sure if they came behind too it would be a completely different story. Really if you put multiple entrances to buildings that the specimens use, you would still have to run, there would just be detours through buildings if the streets got crazy. I'm not sayin you should make interiors for KF-City, just sayin you can make a city map with interiors and not have people camp in them. Even with 1 way entrances though, on the last waves you can't really camp, those fleshpounds will tear you up.

Alright, last update before I release the final version. the fires should all be fixed now (haven't really paid attention yet but I will take a look when I get home) there are more objects around, road cones, cars, scafflings, etc. All zombies and pathing seems 100% good now (if there were even any issues with the previous release) more humor was added around in hidden spots, well, some hidden, some not. As'well I may possibly add music to it, if I can get it to work well with the map that is. Any suggestions? Who likes what from the default maps? That fountian/goblet thing in the park has been removed. So if there is anything else that may need fixing, or if you think would be a good idea to add in, you should post now. I'll probably put it up by tomorrow

I agree with Grim on the outside method of city maps. Not only is it really a uneccessary task on computers but also takes away from being outside.

I have to say City is absolutely the best map to introduce new players to Killing Floor. Dark, scary, but large enough that it is not overly difficult in Normal.

Yeah, but once the Stalkers come, they're good as dead. Those things come out of no where and are virtually invisible when you're in the dark.

well that's what the lights are for. Duh! There are some spots that have better lighting then others, and these my friends are places to hold up at, the only down side is, specimens come from all sides if you go for the well lighted places, so you can see stalkers, but you have to have a large group to withstand all of them from all sides. And sorry for KF-City not being updated today like I said I would. Got too tired today to add the last few things I wanted to add in it. Hah, yeah I know. I'm bad at this whole "promising" thing. I'll get it up by the weekend for all your household/LAN needs. Promise. This time it'll count. I have a lot of time to get it done, and I only have to add like a couple of things.

Grim, maps looking great, well done. Im hosting a LAN party this Sunday, I want to introduce some new players to KF2, I think City would be the perfect introductory map.
If its finished by the weekend then excellent, if not keep up the good work, I will def use it at the next LAN.
There's some awesome custom maps being made now, things just keep getting better!
**EDIT** I recommend using the West London Music, I think it would be cool having the same music to match a similar layout map.

I think it would be better to pick a different music from the ones in the default maps. There's plenty of unused material in the KF directory and the sound could use some variation that doesn't depend on pressing F11.

I'm probably going to use Paint it Black for my next map.
