I just picked up this mod yesterday and had a lot of fun for a night with it. The overall texture and model quality is very impressive. The mod also achieves a very atmospheric and realistic feel. The only real problem I encountered was with the server browser, as when I try to connect to about half of the available servers it switches to the menu background (no buttons) and does nothing. If I click at this point the screen goes black. Hitting escape after that lets me return to the menu/server browser. Most of the servers turn up with a ping of n/a, I thought it just affected those servers but it turns out I can connect to some of them just fine. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is the problem unavoidable? I am running the game on a PC with specs well above the minimum and with a pretty goo internet connection. My ping was fine for the servers I joined. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Also, sometimes the server told me I didn't have the map it was on despite it being a default map. I even double checked that the map was in the folder.

Have you updated to patch 2.01? This would be the cause of the map mismatches IMO. The whole 'can't connect to server' problem is usualy caused by people not setting up the server properly, or ping being too high etc. It's not avoidale AFAIK... but I'm not in the know much.

Look around the forum.
They're badly configured servers.

Yeah, it's patched. Right now I can only connect to 1 server, MClaw666's. (Which is incedentally 2.1)

I have the same issues. And McClaws and ZOMG zombies are the only 2 servers I've connected to for long periods of time.

Hmm, why don't people patch thier servers? It sounds like the patch has a lot of good fixes.

Turmoil is patched up. Not sure about the latency, might drop it down to 4 pers if it's a prob. Wrote a script to restart the server when it crashes. Should be running more frequently now unless the power goes out. If anyone wants serverside demos just email w/ playername, map, date and time (est).
