hey for the 2 different teams we should get a large map bit bigger then London and have the two teams start on opposite sides different objectives DRF-stop horizon (horizon-get data on mutation or wut ever the zombies really are anyway they start out different sides and just basically get back to the extraction but their should be stuff along the way like the z's don't stop spawning its ends when one team is dead or the objective is accomplished and zb don't start saying get to work on it u already know i cant do shit with this stuff im just the dreamer

KF assault?

Yeah I always thought a KF Assault mode would be awesome, but then again this is just singleplayer like in 1.0. In time it would be amazing to have some sort of singleplayer/assault mode for co-op.
But for now lets concentrate on making the current KF mode the best.

Considering the nightmare of coding that will be... who's going to do it?
I don't think Alex really wants to jump in and code something new just yet... you saw how long THIS took. Just be patient.

I've already started a city map bigger then London, BY MUCH. It's still basically in the closet, but it's core has been finished pretty well, lighting needs fixed to make it darker, but other then that, prepare to piss your pants when stalkers come out of no where.

KF Assault? Sounds good ... But how about the weapons?

Yeah the city maps sound good, probably give you some sort of Assault feel, would be good to have some sort of objective as well. For maps like this it would be better to have more than 6 people, maybe 8-10.
When are your maps going to be released?

i think u should only get the weapons u start with but u get a large amount of ammo just like the sp so it makes u feel desperate and make it dark so people are squinting to see wuts ahead

Well the Single-Player maps are going to take long (I have to do alot of bug testing as well as redoing or changing something completely until I get it perfect so everyone can have fun.
As for my KF maps, they'll be out sooner since it's easier to do. City wide is still early but won't take long.

Weapons would be easy... everyone chooses a primary weapon, starts with maybe 5 grenades, full ammo in their shotgun, bullpup or Winchester (I imagine the LAW, Crossbow and Hunting Shotgun should be held back, otherwise everyone would take one). And their trusty 9mm.
They could find ammo along the way, but no ammo spawns... makes it that much more desperate. Also, the heavier weapons could be hidden across the area.
Bullpups for everyone would be a neat idea if the damn thing didn't shoot Nerf balls.

OR
What if everyone spawned seperatly in a really huge city type thing. They have to find survivors (other players) all begin with usual KF inventory set (9mm, welder, knife, med thingy) They all have to find out where they're are (volumes in the streets so when a player speaks using teamchat they show the street name) Players first have to find weapons then find others from there you can find a place to make your "stronghold" like certain places you can enter.

Way too complicated. Being separated at the beginning is a bad idea, unless the map was very carefully constructed. The idea of an armed unit being dropped off for a purpose is good though. Especially with limitless specimens and limited ammo, really makes you bust your ass to get the job done.

Actually that makes me think of something like one of my favourite maps at Warcraft 3's peak, NOTD, the whole team is divivde (but the map is visable). Someone would flare a location and the whole team would go there (finding items as they go).
The team would meet up and would have to keep moving to survive the increasingly large assault of zombies. It also had classes. WAYyyyyy to much work for KF though I believe but still, it'd be fun.

Grim, is that going to run smoothly at all though? Don't get me wrong, I'm psyched up for it.
