Hi there everyone. I'm Squirrel-San (unfortunatly the name creation doesn't allow the use of hyphens). I saw this mod through Mod DB while looking for some Half Life 2 mods. To be honest, this mod made me look for UT04 at stores everywhere, finally to learn that they don't produce new copies and buy one off of ebay.
Well, I downloaded the mod and logged on only to be disappointed.
Disappointed by the game? Not at all. It looks great and I'm still eager to play it. It just seems that there is a serious lack of players, and most of the servers that are up come up as N/A's or ?'s , which, as I read, have consistent problems with people joining those. The other ones which do not do not have people playing, I've seen.
I come from the Movie Battles 2 community (a Jedi Academy mod: moviebattles.com) and there are always people playing since it has established a faithful community of atleast 500-1000+ people playing consistently. You never have a problem finding a game to join.
I would love to see this mod get that kind of fiathful fan base. I've already posted information about this mod over at the Movie Battles forums, and I think that everyone else should take atleast an hour and try to spread the word to large gaming communities ( not spamming the boards, of course, but just bring the mod to their attention).
Well, that's it. Now that I've said that, does anyone want to play KF?
