what about making the mg veeery heavy. pro: insane firepower, big magazine. perfect to hold a corridor. contra: you cant have any other equipment beside your knife and the 9mm setuptime 3-5 sec. price 600 That would be cool, I think. It might seem ridicously overpowered but if you give it a long setuptime (and at least that same amount to remove it) plus an restricted attack radius... I mean, that big ass machinegun might clear a whole corridor, but if something sneaks up from behind or the Zeds get too close the gunner would still die. And he would have to reload sometime. Yes, it might take a few balance checks, but it would be totally cool having something like this behind a welded door. ;D and for the landmines: they should have friendly fire. they simply kill every thing. max load 2 per person. 5 sec setuptime. not placeable in a good distance to spawnpoints. no money for kills made by the mines. price 200 for one. Letting the no-money-part aside, I´m with that. But I think they´d cause more damage if you could somehow code them to explode after one or two zombies walked over them ... you know, letting them explode in the middle of a group. And please don´t hit me, Mister Coder, I´m just trying to be helpful ... in a way ;D

I like your thoughts on the mg. The only thing I miss in KF is a HMG.
Landmines is a good idea too, but making them cost 200 a piece and no money for kills sounds a bit bad. I don't think I would ever invest in a landmine then. Making them cost between 50-100 on the other hand. Remember a single clot can trigger it. Ohwell, it might have uses with welding up and stuff but... landmines would require some betatesting balancing

a mounted HMG would be extremely unrealisitic if you wanna come into terms the weight of a Browning 50.Cal, considering the fact that they weigh 80lbs unloaded, without the ammunition box and tripod. It'd be unrealisitic either way.
So just make it 15 pounds, little faster than duelies firing rate and ALOT of damage for a heafty price of 550. And the ammunition box can hold up to say...200 rounds?

Sounds fair. Give it a 5-10 second reload time to make it a hassle and you've got a pretty good setup.
And god, replace the Winchester? Why not just replace the shotguns with tennis balls?
The landmines being 100 would be pretty awful... LAW rockets cost less... remember, 3 (THREE) grenades are 20 bucks... And I would definately say no friendly fire... there isn't any now, and we don't need people being more bastardly then they are already capable of.

Sounds good, but that could be easily countered by using 3 guns, 1 shoots while one reloads and the third is backup. Landmines would be fair at 100, with a large blast radius if you got 3 or so every 100 points.

Land mines would not be fair at 100 I played with them and there not as powerfull as you think
And you have to make the zombies follow you to make them go boom because they nomaly side step it, And if your to close to one while zombie steps on it boom half your health gon
There worth only 20 in my opinion

That's pretty powerful.
And besides, the landmines were never even finished so really they aren't balanced.
The landmines should probably do damage of a grenade and a half(Or more), a blast radius of maybe a 10 foot circle(Mine in the middle). That'd be pretty good and balanced if you ask me, it'd take care of clots, stalkers and stuff in one blast, but multiple mines going off would probably own alot of stuff. Hence minefields.
And of course the code would have to be fixed so they can walk over them, they probably sidestep them because of them blocking their way? I don't know.

I think that the landmines should be done in the same way as the grenades, except that you don't start with any. The price should be the same as that of a grenade. This is fair, considering you are more accurate with it than a landmine (the landmine blows up at the edge of a squad, the grenade blows up in the middle). And, there ain't gonna be any flash grenades. Read the first post fraser, I mentioned the weapons there. Or are you too good for that?

Sorry Fraser, they already announced no flash grenades... I imagine it would be a pain to code right. I also don't think it should do anything at all, seeing as how the Siren seems to have no problem finding you, and she's blind... besides, they don't care when you blow their whole head off, what would showing them pretty lights do? Make them disco?

Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing. Gernades that set them on fire and slowly do dmg over time would be better, you would have to run though cuz when they touch you, you get hurt. It would be useful when running from them.

And the patch won't have these toys, sadly... lol. It is still sweet though.
And who cares if they walk around it? Put them in front of doors!
