I have been a gamer since I was the size of a large chiwawa. I used to watch my dad play Duke Nukem (hellz yeah!) and think "Sw33t!" One might say that I have gaming in my blood. Since then, I have played many great games and mods and been able to artistically analyze many of them. The best are listed here: Half Life (1+2) Doom 3 Dystopia Fallout (1+2) Baulder's Gate series System Shock 2 Killing Floor Killing Floor has been my latest addition. Where System Shock 2 scared you in single player, Killing Floor scares you in multi-player. Where Dystopia refined the multiplayer formula, Killing Floor redefines it. Killing Floor is really a different experience in multiplayer gaming because it is so well crafted. First of all, teamplay is mandatory: through a clever statistical advantage (med syringes) and the fact that waves only get harder teamplay is forced upon the player, rather than gently encouraged. The atmosphere is creepy and cool; I love the way each map is very unique and has its own feel and style. Some may gripe that KF is simply a co-op single player game, but I beg to differ. With no set objectives other than survival, the game gives the player alot of freedom in the expansive maps. There is no "right" way to finish a map, there is only the will to do so. Those are just my two cents Great work, Alex and co!

Can I be the first to say that saying you watched your dad play Duke Nukem made me feel old? Dude I remember being blown away by Mechwarrior's graphics... the first one.

Man, the second one was awesome... first was best though.. nothing like blowing the arms and legs off your enemy and then slowly chipping away at their cockpit 'til they were dead.
I remember being unable to play Duke Nukem for the longest time because we didn't have the unbelievable technology that was the CD-ROM 2x... lol

I remember thinking Commodore 64 Graphics were the best thing in the world. And I'm probably way younger then you! Though, I still say Commodore 64 games kickass, Maniac Mansion., Zack McCrackin', Castle Wolfenstien, all those Winter/Summer Olympic games, and a bunch of others!

I've been playing video games since 1996.
First real game I ever played was Doom. Then Diablo, and well...so many, too many to list over the years.
Overall, Half-life is still my favorite game for story, replayability, and the mod community(Which is bigger than this ones, by a longshot, no offense)
