This is still not COMPLETELY done Trainstation but it's the trainstation 80% percent done. www.savefile.com/files/4021089 To open: 1- Start up KF2.0 2- Go to Creat Server and click on survival then double click on any map 3- once the map starts bring the console down and type open kfs-town 4- Enjoy Zombies have realtime shadows on, It actually made it look awesome.

Oooh, finally a new map! I've been getting quite bored playing the hell of the other ones.
Much thanks, and keep up the good work.
Edit: Darn, the site won't let me download it!
Edit 2: Oh wait, now it works! Finally!
Edit 3: When I try to open it by typing open KFS-Town in teh command console, it dosen't work.

Realtime shadows were disabled by default for exactly that reason. Although yes - in a single player map where you had control over the exact number of zombies, it could be quite effective .
P.S
SaveFile.com is horrible.

Hayato : Did you put the map in your map folder inside your KF2.0 folder? mrmedic: It doesn't lag at all with me. I'll send you a version w/o shadows if the lag is unbareable (I spelled that one wrong) The zombies in the beginning don't have realtime shadows and I have to redo the mover I had over it to kill all those silly zeds. That might be whats lagging you. I have to find a better file hosting site, but anyway. Once I finish the last room and get the trigger to work for that door to open I'll send a version with the mover to kill the opening zeds.

I have 2.83. Hayato, make sure you rename the file just to KFS-Town, because the savefile thing add a bunch of numbers and shit. I had a playthrough, it's pretty well laid out though the trainstation is really really empty, I know it's not done..but for 80%, I'd imagine it'd have more. Other than that, it has a good mood, it's pretty fun although the items respawn and all that. And I couldn't seem to get the gate open, unless it's not up to that far yet.

Ok - tried it.
I wont comment too much the artistry, as I also think it's quite abit empty and you've definitely used the same "tile" texture too much.
Regarding optimization - Or lack thereof in this case. Try to look for some tutorials on Zone Portals. In a map of this size, it would greatly increase playability. Using Rmode1 I was amused to find that all areas of the level were being rendered at all times.
In case you didn't know , unreal engine renders geometry and Staticmesh etc through BSP, by default. So even if you're facing a solid brick wall, your CPU and graphics card are computing everything on the other side of it for thousands of miles.
you_must_occlude_zones. And that is done through zone portalling, or antiportals.
Look at the KF maps for examples.

I'll host the fixed version on Filefront maybe. Yeah but trainstations aren't an artistic sight. I still have to put some chairs and some barriers in the main room in the station
