Hi all
I need to know what the maximum server players are on both dedicated and listen server? I am planning to host a KF server at my next LAN party, but I keep hearing these rumours that theres a maximum of 5 players per server?
Usually there is about 10 people at the LAN, I dont think hosting 2 servers is a good idea, it would be much better if we all played together.
If the 5 people max rumour is true is there anyway to get around this, maybe through the server settings or ini files?
Also I know I keep going on about this, but is there anyway to see players and their scores, the scoreboard just doesnt work (press F1 and it seems a little screwed up). I plan to give away prizes to the best players, therefore I need to know who's doing the best!

I think the max is 6 people. It's mostly gameplay balancing, with more than 6 the gameplay kinda goes whack. The scoreboard doesn't work, however, if you go to the server browser and click on your server it should show scores on the left. Doesn't mean much, however, since the score is connected to your points, so the money you have is your score. Maybe you could do it elimination style, where if you die, you exit the game, and the last person alive wins? If the map switches, just have only those who are still alive keep playing. This way, you could have 2 servers up, and either give prizes to the 2 winners (the survivors of both games) or have them enter a server and try to survive.

With reguards to the scoreboard, does anyone know if pressing F3 does anything? It should show you your personal score, and then you can cycle through everyone elses scores with F8.

F3 shows pers stats (kills/deaths/sui, etc...), so yes. That works

Thanks guys, that really helps. Im a bit gutted on the 6max players thing but I understand why this is the case. On KF1.0 we usually spread out and have 2 or 3 small teams that would tacke specific locations. Next time it looks as though we might have to have 2 seperate servers, or take it in turns.
Yeah the score thing is a tad annoying really, it not only helps with scores but also keeps track on who's currently online (we tend to run listen servers at our LAN). Any news on these things being addressed? Any news on a possible patch/hot fix?
