I mean, KF 2.0 is so fucking amazingly good. It's better than KF 1.0. I will still keep playing it, just because it's so good.
Though, there are a couple of things that drags it very much down: 1. The run to the shopkeeper. Man, not much need to re-enact (w/e spelling) with welding up in some deep basement/room, eh? You will never make it to the shopkeeper in time. I often have to pull the last zombies to the shopkeeper so I will have enough time to buy. Maybe do something as simple as to increase time between rounds? I dont think I can do that on a listen server at least
2. Really annoying for me at least. I like the welding idea, it's awesome. But sometimes the zombies give up on smashing the doors and just stand there till they start dying (out of boredness?).
and some other small bugs that dont really annoy me. For example if you zoom in with winchester and switch weapon it gets bugged.
I had a fun night tonight. Played some games with a friend and some other friendly people. A lot of teamwork and planning. Really some of the best gaming experience I've had in a long time. Too bad we had to "help" the zombies get the doors open. Killed the feeling a little bit.
Still very good job with KF 2.0. Better than I expected, but the bug with zombies not hammering down the doors makes me a sad zombiehunter

The zombies dying is a sort of failsafe mechanism the game seems to have.. If the zombies are miles away and/or idle, they start to die. The 'going to sleep' is caused by the AI 'forgetting' that you are there. It's an engine-based problem AFAIK.

I agree that the trader times are abit severe. But do keep in mind that it scales with the difficulty. So if you lower that, you will have more time between waves to shop.
Either way, i predict it will become a little more leniant with any patches / hotfixes that are released in the future.

And they also heal you if you're down on health, so they're not too bad.
I think the main thing the shop needs is that if you're buying it doesn't kick you out. Maybe once the wave begins, everyone currently buying gets 10-15 seconds to finish up, and it shows up in the buy menu. If that were there it wouldn't be nearly as bad.

The games awesome but I just missed Mr.Locker. He was always there for me. I mean sometimes I get rushed to just have enough time to buy 1 clip, also I missed being able to pick up a few clips quick. I mean the prices are harder, so are the monsters I'm going to need more than 3 Handcannon clips to get through this

You guys are missing out on half the fun if you only use the trader. Sure you don't get to the trader in time, but thats why Alex added the guns and ammo that spawn around. I personally like the guns spawning more than the trader and the weapon locker. Because what do most of you do, camp in the hallway right outside the trader and shoot anything that comes through the doorway, the rest of the map isn't even put to use. With the weapon spawn, your running for you life grabbing anything you can to fight off the specimens behind you, feels more like survival.
Me and my friend acually tried to play it on normal with only picking up weapons around and not using the trader at all. It's fricken crazy, but possible. We couldn't get past the wave where the crawlers come. I thought playing the game this way was alot more fun then camping at the trader.

And Kyben has just figured out WHY there exist such stringent rules on Trader user . In 1.0 , players had no reason NOT to simply camp at the nearest locker and blast / restock till the cows came home. Sure you ocassionally needed to change positions to another locker and rinse + repeat, but the vast majority of the map was never used - Something us mappers consider a vast waste So in 2.0 we've got some tight rules around that and it is considered more of a "luxury" than anything.

Actually me and MrMedic have a neat strat we use on Manor. We put all the guys except one at the door leading into the house from the shop in the basement. One guy makes sure the front entrance to the basement is clear in case we need to run.*
*Bug I think. Zombies wouldnt go down the stairs towards the door. So basically I was just hanging around watching the others blast zombies. Not one zombie came down to the basement via main entrance during the entire round. Makes it really easy camping that shop. If zombies attack both entrances it would still be a good spot, but without no escape route if both entrances were overwhelmed, making it a fitting risk.

I have two issues with this game Alex, and I've been meaning to talk to you about them:
1. It rocks- Personally, I'm upset at the level this game kicks ass... I feel the amazing visual and visceral orgasm you have given us should be toned down to something less good... it feels too "professional"
2. It doesn't crash- I don't know if you're not paying attention, but the mod runs well man... that's not how it's supposed to be... I should be screaming at the software, not the damned invisible stalkers... jeeze...
...yeah, that's a joke, this is amazing. Thank you!
