My last name means high ninja, supposedivly. I'm guessing Horzine just flipped the switch into automatic for the 'clone machine' so they just keep pumping 'em out.

Just imagine that one episode of I love lucy where she was working in the candy factory, only with clones instead of chocolates.

Now i know alex doesnt want to hear this, i probabaly going to get in to trouple for saying this, but hopefully couple month for now alex is going release patch for 2.0 or mabey alex will tell us he going to make a patch and then after three day go off and tell us he he going make 3.0 to fix problems in 2.0. Make us wait year, release it hafe finshed, and Then he will complain about time constraints and other proplems. Then he will release 4.0 to fix the bugs in 3.0, im seeing a pattern here. Alex do us favor for your sake and your fans, just release patches from now on, at least for little while . Give your self break man, very few people go on from one mager release, on to the next. Usually they release patches (wonder why lol) or they wait a little while to start on next one. That what most major game company do. You went from 1.0 to 2.0, no brake and no patch. I Question your sanity.
How about you wait month before working on 3.0 and when you do, make patches for 2.0 and maket the intire new version on the sidelines. Know what alex here what you do, in two weeks you release 2.0, then you disappear from the modding seen for two month and then you, just appear out of know were two month later. Release a patch to fix 2.0 problem then disappear again. save your self and us trouble of going through this routine again.
I just had to say the above ...

Hey dontai. You seem a bit confused, so I figure I should sort you.
1. This mod is not done only_for_your_sake I am looking for a job in the video game industry in a position of (eventually) creative art direction. This completed mod will serve as the landmark achievement in my CV. outside of that it has been great training for staying with something, working with a 3d engine, and managing others.
2. The concept of tiny incremental patches is fine when you have a solid base to work from. 1.0 was not that kind of release. The visual change from 1.0 to 2.0 should be evident, but don't forget that a huge portion of the code had to be totally rewritten. That kind of stuff takes time - In this case, a full year of it.
3. Following 2.0 - Killing Floor is more or less done . It has run it's course, been a great joy, and a great pain in the ass for two years, and it's just about time to move on. I have a degree to think about, an actual paying job to find, and after all that I've got new ideas for independent modding projects on the nextgen unreal technology. If a patch or patches are released for KF 2.0 they will come quietly and be done in my downtime.

You have to do what they say and when. You also have to work on stuff you do not like. If you can stick to modding .... then keep modding in your downtime.

Dontai - Yes, i'm aware.
And you get something called Money for your troubles.
I won't romanticize the industry, but you'd better believe that Killing Floor is not always fun.
In fact, for the last month I've often had to force myself to continue when I just didn't feel like it.
It's just as naieve to pretend that modding is somehow "always fun and romantic" that's just B.S it's people who start mods on those grounds that are the reason why such a small number of mod projects ever actually finish

Anyone here should be able to understand what he states. If you have basic knowledge of English, you are able to decipher most phrases, usually even worse than dontai's writing.
Alex, are you jealous of gibby for landing a developer job before you? haha, just kidding.
I think with all of us already have gone through 1.0's bugs, I think anything from 2.0 should be easy cake, haha.

Wow, I can’t believe people like Dontai are still pestering you like this. Come on, it will be done when its done, and if its not perfect deal with it. Alex has put a lot of time and energy into something that is not helping him right now, and he is generous enough to continue this project even when he sometimes doesn’t feel like it. Being as dedicated as he is to totally revamp the 1.0 release rather than just releasing 2 crappy patches for it, really shows just how important this project is to him. Give Alex a break and let him finish what he started.

Dontai, I am grateful that someone like you finally got the bravery to speak up. The vast majority of the abusers never ever show such guts and just mumble in their corners until they go on with their next fix. It's a shame that the dealers don't take the small users as serious as they should.
