I don't know if this was asked already, but...What programs do you people use to create the ace music? 'Cause I've looked all over for programs, but they're crap.
The music in this game is so good, I've downloaded all the songs for it and they all rock, keep up the good work guys ;D

Between Rattic and myself they're all original. Acid is a sequencer. Easy to use but somewhat limited in it's abilities (Windows? ). I mostly use it to mix wavs together. I'd recommend this as a starter as it's tech is much more recent than modplud. It's sequencing interface is pretty similar to other music apps so it's easy to get familiar with w/o having to feel intimidated by different components one might find in advanced sequencers (such as cubase) or suites. Reason is a music suite of sorts. Softsynths, samplers, drummachines, and effects in a sim rackmount enviroment. Most of my time is spent w/ this and it by far the most intimidating and confusing product listed. Modplug is a tracker. A bit of an oldschool sequencer and imo (the tech is) pretty outdated. I use it mainly for making complex drumloops bc it's what I've got the most experience with. bleddry, defection, dereplica, and spine were sequenced w/ modplug (as I was learning reason), everything else was done w/ Reason's sequencer. Soundforge is an audio editor. Used it for editing wav samples and misc editing/mastering of the final wav. There may be better tools for this (protools) but I've yet to try them out. Oggdropxpd is an ogg encoder, fast to configure and use. It comes very close to being a desktop widget.

Cool, thanx for the info, I will get hold of the programs soon, and TRY and learn how to use them.
I've tried a few programs, but none that actually worked, lol I want to try and make heavy kind of game type music, and now I can.

I just almost lost all my music as I came close to wiping my storage drive Spent the last 5 days trying to recover it! Done it now though, phew! I used Cubase SX for sequencing and Reason for creating my dirty drum loops. Most of my sounds were made with external sound modules/synths etc, but Reason does a good job at synth sounds and the likes. Reason mentioned twice, it must be good

Is there a place to download the mp3s for the game soundtrack? Its just so happens that I couldn't get modplug to work, and well this music is just too darn good to resist asking.

Try not to thread jack, mate. You need to update your UT2004 to the latest version to resolve that crash.
