Actually that's all i want to do - Don't want to code, model or anything like that anyways.
Had a read of some of the stuff and it seems good enough to me...
Know of any better tutorials moo?

If you want to get serious about it, you could look for the book Mastering Unreal Technology: The Art Of Level Design. Tell's you pretty much everything you want to know about UnrealEd for 2k4. About 2,000 pages of tutorials. Online tutorials do nothing for ya compared to it. If your just making a level or two or just messing around, I would say stay with the online help. Two of the online sites I think were pretty good before I got the book were: www.planetunreal.com/architectonic/first_level.htmlwww.utmaniac.com/gate.html?name=UT2k3_TutorialsHope it helps.

Yeah, when you first open up the editor and its showing that little title thingy, it says Version: 3.0 at the bottom left.

Thanks Leethal How do you register with them? and (critical question) is it free to do so? Never made any maps before so i'm just lookin to cover the basics and i'll wait for patch#1 to be released before making a full map. PS: still haven't got my PC back yet so haven't been able to start messing around with UnrelEd . Drawn a couple of possible map ideas and i was wondering how eveyone would feel about a DockYard map (with small warehouse and boat) and a map set on a small-ish tanker/ship? (above and below deck) Is it a good idea, bad idea, any suggestions etc. thanks.

Dockyard, possible. Ship, not possible unless you make your own meshes and textures.

I'll try making a dockyard map first and i'll see how that goes...

Just got round to registering with 3DBuzz.com and can't believe i've never found this before! Should get my PC back Tomorrow so i can start wading through the video tutorials then. Already watched the first two for UnrealEd and they are very useful and easy follow. Might ditch the dockyard idea and go with something a little more suitable for KF. Thanks to everyone who helped.

OK, finally got round to downloading the 3DBuzz vids (just the level editor 101 and terrain) and watched most of them... Cuz i was felling pretty confident ( ), i decided to load up UnrealED and try making a few rooms and putting some static meshes in them. I tried to play this map (wich included SM's and textures from KF), but it wouldn't load up/ couldn't find the KF stuff. Had a look at the main site and came across the section that tells you how to map for KF. I'm unsure about the first part of it that tells me to "begin your Killing Floor map by entering the default game type into the levelinfo properties." Here's a screenshot of what i did, but not sure if it's right or not... Is this where the 'KFMod.KFGameType' goes? Is it right? BTW, I am using the UnrealED that comes with KF, not the default one. PS: Made a few maps using default UT2004 textures and got them playing fine. i.e. I know how to put player starts in, basic lighting etc.. Oh, and that box is just a test map (which wouldn't play), not what i'm making! ;D Anybody know what i'm doing wrong? PSS: It's a multiplayer map i'm trying to make.
