I'm bored, so I'm writing this crappy lil story.
Don't mind the typos or grammatical errors :

Wave 3. Figured I'd take some screenies for peeps that are still waiting for the download.
After successfully fighting two waves of these creatures, my men and I were worn out, and injured.
Our ammo would not last much longer, and we knew that. Chief suggested we'd find another place, something we could defend until reinforcements arrived. Yeah right, reinforcements.
We proceeded down some rusty stairs, through something that looked like a maintenance area. The place was dark, and trenched in blood. The flickering lights made things oh so much worse. We passed what used to be a doctors office. Chief decided this would be the place. One narrow entrance was exactly what we needed to concentrate our fire on. I told myself that we might actually get out of this alive. Hope. We found a medkit on the wall, which helped to eaze the pain somewhat. Investigating the place some more, I found a vest. This might come in handy. Chief had approved of me wearing it. I managed to smirk.
But that's when everything went to hell...again. The smirk wasn't long lived. The moans of the undead filled the hallways once more, and my heart began to race. "Back up to the walls", Chief screamed "short concentrated bursts only !". The other private jumped forth knocking over a desk and pushing it towards the narrow entrance, before backing up again.
Good thinking. And there they were, moving along, shaking in their sick way. Just looking at them would make your stomach turn. The smell was even worse.
Whoever said zombies were slow and weak, should have been kicked in the face. These bastards were everything but. Whatever they were, these cadavers were only slightly slower than an average human, and their strength...anything beyond your imagination. They could crush you like a bug. This was not what we were trained for.
But all whining couldn't help us now. "FIRE AT WILL" is all that I heard before the bodies of the deseased started falling.
Everything went so fast. One of them jumped over the barricade, swinging wildly at the other private, ripping his face completely off.
Still firing that privates killed the bastard. But as he fell, his gun aimed towards chief, and the last burst emitted from the mg hit him in the knee. The chief collapsed to the floor, still firing at the incomming horde. I retreated into the other corner, trying to get as far away from these things as possible. A few more dropped to the ground before they got to him. And now, I was the target. There was no escape.
They were closing in on me. I shot a few bursts into their chest before I realized there was no way out. I was going to die. I turned the gun on myself, and pulled the trigger....*click*
Oh no, I was out of bullets. THe last thin I remembered, was seeing the ground filling up with blood. My blood....
