Perhaps this isn't the right forum for this sort of thing, but i couldn't find a better one.
I think that by default KF is very easy online, so i edited my server config to start easy and rapidly scale up, so a single person who joins can still play and hopefully attract more people to the server, whilst the game remains a challenge.
To achieve this all i edited were the starting and ending waves, the difficulty of each wave, and the number of zombies. It seems from looking at the config that it's also possible to control the size and composition of the monster groups that spawn, but i don't think i really understand that bit yet. So if anyone does, please be my guest.
Here's the current deal for THN, i've cut out some irrelevant spam, so don't just copy/paste it! If you think your config is better, want to run your own server or have other suggestions. please share them in this thread.
