Well....I make maps for ut2004 for all game modes, and i am trying to map for killing floor. however when i open up editor and open up a KillingFloor map that came with the mod, i get an error and the editor crashes. I guess i could make one without opening the stock maps, but i just need to know some basic stuff. Such as, what is the DefaultGameType and PreCacheGame in the level info. How do i place lockers, and stuff like that. I can do everything else fine, but i just need to know some of the basics.

Use the KFmod UnrealED shortcut ( in the KFmod\System\ folder)
(and if required, change the shortcut link to your own install paths etc.)
UnrealED has to be loaded with the KFmod shortcut extensions, and then you should be able to open any existing KF maps

While we are on the topic of editor help topic. When I click on the music note at the top and try and open a music package from KF, I get this:
Build UT2004_Build_[2005-02-15_17.02]
OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600) CPU: GenuineIntel Unknown processor @ 3003 MHz with 1014MB RAM Video: Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family (3943)
General protection fault!
History: CheckTag <- LoadSummary <- ULinkerLoad::ULinkerLoad <- UObject::StaticTick <- UEditorEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop
Also, you don't really have any spooky sounds, wind or fire sounds...

Right click your KF editor and click properties. In the target bar make yours look like mine:
C:\UT2004\System\UnrealEd.exe -mod=KFmod | or D: whatever your using
Should work. Good luck with your map!

I found the shortcut, and the shortcut did not work. I looked around for a while and found the problem. I went into the shortcuts properties and found the location problem. The shortcut was linked to G:/ drive. I dont have a g drive so i switched it to C:/ drive, and as soon as i did, the unreal editor icon came into the shortcut. My advice, make sure the shortcut is in the right direvtory.
