the games on multiplayer... the lag is unbearable, even when i have like 80 lag, the monsters pop out, and my lag turns to 900... i've played invasion in UT2k4 and it doesn't lag like this... help?

Try different servers, and look for DEDICATED servers with under 4 players
they are the ones without the little EAR graphics.

i find that once it gets passed 6 players in gets un-playable but under 6 it runs fine

It really depends on the server and your video. KF models are much higher poly than the unreal monsters so if you have midrange hardware and get a few dozen zombies in the room w/ a bunch of kactors your fps if going to drop hard. Same could be said for those hosting a listen server. Only problem is if the host of a local server is getting poor fps then all the clients will suffer ala high pings until the hosts fps goes back to a reasonable amount.

QFT. KF monsters have bones and many polies, invasion ones are from UT99 and have no bone structure or ragdoll.
There is no question KF is a demanding mod, though often, there are messages associated with extreme lag spikes. After you experience one, type "showlog" into the console, and tell us if there are any warnings. If it really is a bug, this is the easiest way for us to try and debug it.
