It looks like there is an overall lack of dedicated servers...Its been pretty difficult to find a game thats had any room since I downloaded the "good" version. If anybody has a good enough internet...
Also hopefully there will be some servers that remove the weapon shake function...tends to give me motion sickness to have the screen shake every time I fire.

Most people definitely seem to be using Listen servers, as opposed to dedicated. A shame, but, hopefully in the future w'ell see more deds. I will personally be hosting a dedicated server following the 1.01 patch release, so that will be at least one

I am hosting a full dedicated server right now as well. UT2004://66.208.105.179:7777 It is running version 1.0 and DOES NOT ADVERTISE. This is not a home server, it's a commercial one. Feel free to give it a test and add to your favorites if you like. Also please give some feedback on the performance of the mod in multiplayer.
That server is primarily a DeathBall server, but I do all my UT2Vote testing with it as well, so there's also other mods coming and going from it regularly..
Enjoy.

I am also currently hosting a dedicated server, though i do occasionally change to listen so I can play too. Can anyone tell me how to configure the dedicated server? The only way I know of to get a dedicated server running is that batch file in the kfmods folder. And all that does is open a command prompt with a bunch of text and stuff I assume is the server working <looks like it anyways>

If anybody has a good enough internet... You don't need good internet to host a server My server is always full and I certainly don't have a good connection for hosting a server.

Alright this is probably a dumb question but how do you make it dedicated? I only see Play, Spectate, and Back at the bottom...

Double click the dedicated server batch file in your KFmod dir.
And it will show up in the server list when you start KF

If anyone cares I am hosting the UMCP Dedicated server, it is actually running on a machine about 3 feet from my chair from which i am typing. Our school has an always-on good connection, and I have only rebooted (never shut down) the server 4 or so times since I moved in.
I try to keep an eye on it when I can, but it sports an Athlon XP 2800+ and a gig of ram, so it at least seems to get very resonable pings.
I may even be able to host another on the same box, maybe I'll mess with that one later..... But for now, 6 will be the player limit in 1.01, so I left the number of slots at 6, thats really the problem, not the lack of servers, but that the game would require 1 ded server per 6 (or so) players.
