Hello everyone! I wanted to tip my hat and say that I really admire your work Alex. The screenshots and trailer look absolutely amazing. I am so looking forward for more updates and even better, the game itself once it's done. I've been wondering about a few things, I hope it isn't stuff that's been discussed to death already. 1. What is the mission goal in KF? Does your team simply have to survive with limited amount of respawns for a pre set length of time, or do you capture and hold special positions/finish objectives? 2. Will there be different difficulty levels to choose from to suit the level of experience your team has. 3. If I got it right, KF is about multiplayer coop. This makes it one of the most exciting WIP mods out there IMO. I've been dying to see a horror themed coop mod just like this one. I read something about bot support though, which makes me curious, will there be simple marine AI for say... training...? 4. I read that you are pretty much the one man band behind KF. Are you planning on recruiting people and developing it further once you get the attention and put your vision out there? Or do you feel entirely comfortable being alone in this? Thanks, and keep up the excellent work!!

Hello Fluffy! 1. It works exactly like UT2004 invasion. There is a countdown at the end of which a wave of zombies begins to hunt you and your squad down from all angles. you're only mission is to kill them, or failing that run and survive until the round expires and the next one begins. Unlike UT2004 however, you do not get refilled ammo at the end of each round. Your "mission" as it were, becomes scouring the city for defensive positions, ammo pickups, kevlar vests, whatever will keep you going. I was considering putting in a semi-rpg expeirnece element to it, but im not sure if I will do that at this point. Right now it's old school COOP fun, you shoot, kill and get points for each kill. One player must survive after each round, and if he does, any of his dead teammates will be brought back to life for the next round. If he dies, they all fail. 2. I believe you can change the difficulty of the zombies, yes. 3. That's right. IN offline mod you get two marine buddies who cover your ass and (i guess) respond to whatever basic orders the UT2k4 invasion bots do 4. Im not exactly the sole worker at this point, i have a REALLY great coder, SLinks, who is hauling ass and I sort of handle the art end while he does most of the code. But yeah, in the past i've been mostly one manning it About the future? Im not sure...i just wanna get out a simple survival coop gameplay that plays wihtout too much lag, and is replayable...From there i can expand on that and call in more guys to map, or expand it and we can plan new features! ;D

Right now, words and phrases like "training", "cover your ass", and "stay the hell away from that grenade" don't really apply to these bots, but they'll be in working order by release. As soon as we tell them when to use what weapon. (For instance, neither the bullpup nor the frag grenade are melee weapons. These are important to know when it comes to zombies and frag grenades.)

Yeah they seem to be of the persuasion that the grenades are only effective when delivered DOWN THE ZOMBIES THROATS... But it's all in good fun

We have this one-room test map we've been using for various purposes today, and I got a real kick out of turning on friendly fire and watching the two bots make short work of each other.

Having to find a defensive position sounds absolutely great. Most zombie-themed games seem to think that it's all about mowing down zombies with high powered weaponry. I really like the focus on just trying to stay alive.
You guys and Chicken+Ribs_Combo seem to understand what makes zombies great.
