Edit : Moved Link here too . files.filefront.com/KF+Complex3zip/;9184150;/fileinfo.htmlLatest Map : Lost in Frost files.filefront.com/Lost+In+Frostzip/;9197700;/fileinfo.htmlGreetings. Sorry about the MASSIVE delay , however , I was busy doing some Unreal Gold related stuff. I have been working on my map and due to demand , I decided to tinker it so it runs smoother. The map will be ready shortly after I finish testing it and make sure everything works. Here are some screenies to tie you all over. Interior of the Complex Interior Of the Complex Due to issues , I moved the Spawns underground. Redid the lighting and terrain. Bird's Eye view of the Complex. Also, I started anouther map "Lost in Frost" . It too , is being tested. Snowy ! Sorry.. I love the Tench-Like Complex design. The Starting Point. A Bird's Eye view of about one fourth of the map.

You've got a good eye , son maybe abit more detail in there, and some more dramatic lighting, but you're off to a flying start! I love the layout of the first map

Awesome. I was actually fiddling with this map trying to zone it...looks like now I won't have to.

I loved this map unfortunately the old performance issues held me back from playing it more. But I'm glad you fixed that!

My few sents worth. A nice map and "Frost" looks interesting too. Overjoyed because I survived until the 5th but the urge for the toilet got me and I don't know how to 'pause' KF -- although the 6th round would finished me for certain anyway. But I'll try it again. Your map constrasts open space with tight space, tight rooms / corridors with open outside. I didn't get lost and that I like! Surviving I like the most and I did. A quick glance in your map in UED tells me you don't know about zoning, but looking inside KF pro maps they're not too sure either Mind you KF-Gothic's castle / house isn't the best example -- the door should have faced the back of the map. 'Well-zoned,' means an area with small tight entrance that is not too visible from a long distance. In that way, while a player is in one zone all the stuff in the other zone isn't being counted by the CPU /graphics card. Antiportal is different and it makes a large invisible wall stuck which should be inside a static mesh or terrain, and blocks off areas that the player can't see -- CPU / graphic don't process. Same idea as zone, but zones have to be 'air tight' BSP sealed areas There are many tutorials on zones netwide that are well worth reading. So, a great map. It gave me the feel being in a wrecked facility -- I expected an old caretaker to come out and threaten me at any moment. Loved the grey spooky moonlight feel contrasting with the wrecked offices. Oh, the glass, nearly forget. I really enjoyed the glass and you used it well -- fun smashing it -- and I heard the zombies breaking it too, the pricks. I keep looking for excuses to put more glass in my maps but you managed it well. I did access the Trader out-of-hours, pressing frantically on a door and up pops Trader buy stuff. I didn't mind that, I'll take every advantage a mapper gives me. Thanks for your work and a great play!

Im new to UED3. Ive spent 8 years using the Editor to Ut99 and Unreal Gold and 225f. Never Knew zoning did that for you. I usually used zones for liquids/lighting/fog. I have a hate for zoning in general due to learning the hinderance of only 23 zones. (Try making a map for Unreal gold with nothing but Zone lighting.) I'll start zoning my UE2 maps If it makes you all happy. If you want to see PM me and I can show you some of my works for the older engine.
