That will make no difference, In the alpha version ... it contains the packages to use in the BETA. so unfortunaly ... you will have to download the alpha version and then beta!... Sorry about that I should of done a MyLevel package (which is now all in the final)

Hi Kicker I like your map and had a similiar idea. I made the laser room of the movie a few weeks ago. I saw u made the laser room too, but I think it needs improvement. Maybe you want to look at mine. I tried to make it as accurate as possible, but I'm not finished yet. The actual lasers are not in place and I need to work more on texures, cubemaps, static meshes and other stuff. Here are two pics of the room (ignore the switch on the picture, it turns the light on, it's just displayed for testing purposes...) it doesnt work, it's missing Chapter3_sm.usx which from looking around i gather, is from a cd of tutorials on unreal [edit] got it and uploaded it files.filefront.com/Chapter3+smrar/;9065624;/fileinfo.htmland to anybody wondering what that map is, its just the laser room in very high detail though

ah yeah sorry for that inconvenience.
In the package I failed to provide is a door static mesh I used. I guess you could find it in the standard Unreal packages too, but I don't know where and I forgot to include it in the package 'myLevel'.

I must say Grex»]4D[« you're real cluey. You saved me some headaches with that missing soundfile in KF-Gothic. A big thank you!
Kick3r, for the laser you should have no trouble knocking up a sparkly texture -- a glowing red / blue (whatever) line even. I experimented with a few textures (combiners / shaders) in KF-Gothic and was surprised at how easy it is. Hey, but no luck yet with respawning barrels. I tried emitters and the barrels appear but when they go bang they don't do damage. The skulls (and trader signs) were about the best I could do as breakables but even then on network break effects don't show. In UED there'll be a way for the barrels, I just need to find it.

The laser is already built guys...and it works really well. I have great faith in Kicker considering the amount of importance he is putting into community feedback and support to ensure he gets it just right over just pumping it out to get it over and done with. BTW Kicker I'll give your Beta an over-all review in high detail if that will help, may have to wait until the following weekend however as I will need to test it with a friend...last download I had of it was corrupted...

yeah, we played this map 3 times, on the 2nd attempt somehow i got the door to open after you come up the lift from the sewers
first attempt nothing
on the 3rd attempt bindal got stuck in that corridoor, and somehow we closed the door to the red queen room, the one at the dining hall, something about it being electrified and then it didnt open again
as far as i can think, the objectives are:
wait for door to open (main entrance) turn on the power (near trader) wait for door to open (next to above room) wait for door to open (to the dining stairs) wait for door to open (to the red queen corridoor) wait for door to open (to laser room) wait for door to open (to red queen room) dodge and turn off lasers disable red queen something about close the blast door to dining hall b wait for door to open (into sewers) sewer pipe collapses, find another route (lift in corner) go up lift and press button to come back out near the flooded room (but need to do something first, or that door and switch is just buggy) go on train, end of map
or is there more to do o.O

I didn't suggest an emitter because Kick3r already has the laser fully functional therefore only a texture change on the laser surface is required. An emitter -- and a moving one, even attached to a mover would be a whole new can of worms.

Hey, my internet is not working at the moment, but i am still working on the map everytime i can to get it complete! Ive fixed all the bugs and errors that you mentioned earlier. Should have internet working soon! I will work on the laser room like you all said. keeping in mind .... you all have the crappy BETA version, and i have all the improvements

I have finished the Laser Room, and its looking awsome guys! Your gonna love this! ... im on the college computers at the moment! so if i could upload photos, i would!
