Hi guys (and gals), I have made my first EVER UT/KF map called KF-Horzine Please do not take the p*** out of my noob skills lol. Although for a first attempt, its not all that bad. Ummm thing is, i have no website to put it on, so can one of you like... download it off me and try it out! that would be awsome if someone could ........................ Um next thing i just wanna ask, You know lighting on a KF map? ... Why is it that when i create a Flashing;Blinking;Strobing light on the UT Editor... it does NOT show up in game? I have tryed Spot light; KF Moveable Light; Sunlight and just normal ... Light! I have compiled a full build and it still does not flash in-game. It also does not like "Search-Light" and other varibles. Please help me on that! Cheers!

kick3r. You need a triggered light for light effects to work.

Also: Use www.savefile.com to upload maps. it's free to register etc, and links last until they become unused for 30 days. Alternatively use www.megaupload.com to upload your maps with no registration. it's difficult to keep track of the files though. And there are also many annoying ads

Looks like i will be fixing the lighting in the map then! Other than that i signed up for that free web host thing ... and the link for the file is at - www.savefile.com/files/964968It will only be there for 30 days! Please try it out and please give me some feedback! Keep in mind i am not an experianced mapper and this is my first time on a KF-map Thank you Oh... P.S. I have not added a Weapon Locker on this yet, personaly... i don't like it. But il make it on 2nd Beta!

Keeping to the "Codex of Killing Floor trader rules" I have placed a trader in the map. I have updated lights in the map. One more problem is with this new patch which is not official ... it has changed a texture in the map! Please try Beta 2 lol! www.savefile.com/files/965301

for the light affects i would say projectors also there are way too many static meshes on this level try taking some out also there are so many use less emiters on this map which makes it impossible to play for those on the lower end machines any way that is my concerns really over and i would like to end this by say great map all in all you have done a good job on detail well done

In addition to what zero already said, I would like to say, yes promising map, but it could use some antiportals in it. Completely unplayable for me.

And i think i get what it means. But where do i put them? in-front of doors like Alex has done on Biotics lab?

well if you zone your level you can add as many as 64 zones so the more zones you can spread out then the better the level will play, i think placement is the hard part maby adding one for every room and each hallway maby as one zone i havent played you map that much so cant comment too well but what i did play of it was very well designed visually but not structured right so try looking for level optimising tutorials or buy mastering unreal by WWW.3dbuzz.com they have awesome tutorials over there well worth a look as many of you know

Pix, when you say its not playable... is that a sence in hardware terms? lag, etc.
Ive tried this zoning before, but for some reason it doesnt work well with me. This antiportal ... what type of Staticmesh should it be? more importantly, does collision need to be adjusted etc?
Or is the anti-portal a brush i need to create with the subtracting/adding tool?
Please help me out, it would be awsome to get this map finished! Cheers
