Nothing is perfect, KF is great, but far from perfect, commercial games (some!) are great, but again far from perfection.
Everyone has different tastes&opinions, one map could be gods gift to mapping to one person, whereas another person might hate it with a passion.
Being in the game industry must be quite hard. Have you read the latest news about the Area 51 developer being sacked cos the game wasnt that good! Do we now live in a world where we cant make mistakes? I'm glad Im not in the gaming industry, it must be very hard getting the results you want. Imagine creating a game that you thought was amazing, just to have some critic saying it was (in less harsh words) Shit!
I personnally think gaming has declined in recent years, I actually find some mods to be better than commercial games, the reason....They were made from the heart, not for money!

"From the heart" and passion, yep, you sure nailed it there. I don't understand why they don't snap up Alex and a few others. But he certainly ain't a 'yes man,' no way, .

Thats the thing, companies dont like people who stand their ground. This happens in most industries not just gaming. It's a pity really, it reminds me of Hollywood, churn out the same crap over and over just for a quick buck!
The Wii is slowly getting rid of this nack, developers are now having to think with a clear mind. Yes some developers are churning out crap, but there are also some amazing new concepts being created.

Yeah, Sony must be spiting chips about the Wii -- thought they had the market sewn up. Even my kids and their friends are pissed about Sony PS prices / arrogance, so we haven't got one, just a Wii.

Thats the great thing about the Wii, just when every1 thought Sony was the king of kings, good ol' Nin come back and kick ass, with an original idea!
I truly believe innovation lies wih the gameplay, not the graphics alone! Thats the problem with Sony, they thought they had the market sewn up, they thought as they thought in 1995 with the original PS1, times have changed Im afraid Sony, gamers are smart bright individuals that speak with their feet, pretty graphics alone dont make a game, and neither does a console that cost £425 at launch...

But playing the Wii makes me feel like ive taken a powertrip back into the Atari days, It just replaced the random stick waggling to wireless stick waggling. Also I liked it better when Nintendo was asking up to use the stick with imagination not with addon parts to turn it into a gun, steering wheel or anything else they have planned up there sleeves.
