I may work on it some more. Right now it is fun and fine. My buds think the map is cool and thats all I need to know (Thank you rbljr & Mike for testing this map out with me since the first day I created the first Version KF-DSDB-ORBuilding and from there to Vdark and now BigBuilding) I have created some screenshots of the map as well. Whats this map meant to be? I havent tried it out myself, but looks very bizzare (in a good way) from the screenshots.

I just started to work on the map aging today. I dident do to much but plan on doing more. I also tried fixing some bugs around. V4 Download Link. Link Removed by Me Like I said, I will be doing more. __________________________ Idea?: Built from scratch and worked on it from the first room. I dident have an idea. I just started building. I did want it to look sort of like resident evil in some ways. __________________________ Map Info: I worked on this map for some time. I learned how to make and set up mover objects and doors. I learned some other things as well while createing this map. I have all my copys of this map from the start. I did have the name as KF-DSDB-ORBuilding. I made it bigger so I renamed it with Big. I still worked on it from there and still plan on working on it for UT2004 and other games. I hope you all like it. I'm still Learning how to do things. ___________________________ Description: You and you're team crashed outside in a city. There are to many creatures outside in the city. You're team had no choice but to run in a building and hope there was a rooftop. They got inside but found out there is no rooftop and now you and you're team must fight to stay alive.

A nice roomy map and gloomy I enjoyed playing as single player because I could see where I was going -- places to escape. The open area with the eye was forbidding, dangerous because of the darkness mixed with light. I liked the look of that whole area! The different types of doors and lifts were good -- fold down -- breakable barriers Plenty of ammo and different guns. The corner is still not fixed The monsters still go to the 1st floor big room corner next to the giant rock. Thanks for the great reply Asnipe34. You made me happy

I will go to that link, but I like your map already. So much open space, great weapons and lots of ammo. The orange colours with dark shadows add to the great gloomy feel. I like that colour idea and the way you made it work. In my maps I went for greens and blues. Most KF maps use greens and blues. There are maps that use a lot of fire. Until I saw the orange of your map with the fires, I wasn't aware of why the fire in other maps didn't work that well. Other maps with blue, greens + fire, in my opinion, give a flat look / feel. Their fire with the darkness makes it feel too dark, but your darkness with the orange makes a good contrast. Your map, orange + fire = heat + danger. Very nice. I think this is what Maul is trying for in the map he is making using yellows. Also Maul thinks a map should be made perfect, but I like to complete a map and move on so I don't get bored and start hating UED. And UED is easy to hate Your first map is much better than my first map, that's for sure, but people here were quite kind to me for my first map and my 2nd map too. Although recently I've been shouting at them for being too critical of new mapmakers -- oh dear, I'm a pain in the arse! Although I think there is an elitist element here who want perfect maps, but I don't think they know what perfect is. So I hope you start a new map and I look forward to playing it! But I am still trying to survive in your current map. The way it's set out, I should be able to survive, but I keep getting killed! I am going to survive past level 3 at least! Update: I downloaded your next version -- but hammered in 3rd round again! But your map allows every chance. It's a great map to play. I will think about more ammo placements in my maps.

Sorry to be a pia, but I think "perfect map" is very complicated. It's certainly more than looks, but yes, 'looks' count. Most pro KF maps are pretty, but when I think hard about it, comparing Icantechi's map with them, his is uncluttered and open. It's nice to play. I feel it gives me a chance, and perhaps the pro maps are over engineered. So "perfect" is a difficult thing. "Deus Ex" I enjoyed, but I wonder if that was the strategy and interaction I enjoyed rather than just the maps. KF I enjoy for many reasons. I like Alex's obvious love for "playing 'his' game" as he said, which was said from love rather than possession. That I like. So "perfect" for me is many factors. I'm not patronizing Icantechi because he's a mapper, I do like his map for the reasons I gave. "Escape to Heaven" as well and Alexia Fireheart's valiant effort. I truly like the look of your map as well Maul. "Perfect" hmmm (I do go on ) I made one once -- got job offers, all sorts emails for that map. The inspiration for the map came to me in a flash. But I think we're all learning, even as Icantechi said he's learning, and even corporations learn. We all aspire to "perfect" for one reason and another. Occasionally we achieve it, but mostly we don't. The attitude I was angry about here was 'the map's perfect or it fails.' Setting that kind of bar is obviously foolish. How about we ask how many times a person has failed today? That's a mean take on life. Sure I want perfect but who really know what it is anyway? So I'm away to play UGhideout. 'New' is often better than 'perfect.'
