Ah thanks. I did find another way. I opened one of the files (think it was an ini but can't remember which one) and it had a default server map rotation list so I manually added all the custom maps (from the help me get maps thread) and voila it worked....sort of. They don't get rotated but I can select them from the menu if I disconnect and reconnect. I may go back and look at the file again as it could well have had a value number of maps in rotation set at 4 or something which could be changed. Just a hunch.

I don't get why you do it that way though. AFAIK the way I described is the way it should be done usually, as intended by Epic. Just add the map and the rest will be done by the game.

I don't doubt for a second that your way is right/better but no one had answered and I figured there was almost certainly gonna be a server section in one of the inis and I needed a solution.
