Just want to give you a heads up that I found a minor bug in the naming of the file. Added Thames to my server but when you try to connect it starts to D\L ThamesBridge.ut2. But if you rename the map to KF-ThamesBridge.ut2 it loads up no prob.

Interesting... Doyora, confirm this? I'm worried renaming will cause issues across the board, but good job on the hotfix.

Considering it's a beta, I see no problem in renaming it. I'll change the post I put the link in so that people know they have to do this. I don't understand why this would be happening though..l probably something to do with the fact I renamed the original map file, so that had two version, one to work on and one as the beta file. In case I wanted to try and join an online match.
Still, if you can load the map, have fun.

Actually, I've never seen a map name in UT2004 with a space in it. I don't think UT likes it. Maps are usually named KF-Thamesbridge_B2 or KF-Thamesbridge-beta2. I suggest we all do like kno has and renames it KF-Thamesbridge.ut2. ...and so, the Map! This is one hell of a great looking map! As always, when you make them, Doyora. I like everything about it. All the little paths you can take and all the details. I have only played solo yet, but I imagien it being a very nice experience on a full server. Progression - you stole my idea! - without even knowing about it. If there is anything, and I had to look very hard.. , to complain about it's the fact that the(I think) japaneese trees look a bit out of place. I suggest just changing the skin of their trunks. Something less white perhaps? I found a very small glitch in the BSP best described in this picture: You can see all the way to the other side under the bridge. It's a very small detail but I thought I'd let you know ;D ;D ;D ;D 4½ / 5 definetly.

Doyora when you added in the B2 part did you save it with the new name from inside UEd or did you just rename the file in windows? If you did the latter, that might be the culprit. I seem to remember something from my skinning days about unreal game files having both an external(windows file) and an internal(engine) name.
Oh and btw as it stand now this map is BE-U-T-FULL. After seeing how you touched up Wasteyard, I can not wait to see what else you do to this one.
edit: Pixel: If I'm not mistaken, the white trunked trees are supposed to be birches. Very common here in NY, but i haven't the foggiest idea if they grow around the Thames,

There are a fair few birches around, but these ones look a bit light. so I'll reskin them. No problem. I didn't notice the gap under the building... I'll sort that out. Thanks!

It's been like 17 hours... ;D This is coming from captain unreliable here.
I'm still adding to the map, and I've changed the skin on the birches so they look quite mossy and aged now. It's better. Thanks pixelscope. Unfortunatley, the development has reached the stage where I need to go round the whole map giving it the 'lived-in' feeling, which takes ages unless you do it over a few solid days, out of the question while I'm at school. So It'll be a while before there is anything new. I have also found an exploit, and I'm fixing that ATM.

I've noticed a wierd problem on thamesbridge. Has anyone tried firing at the zeds over long distances, only to find that their hits don't land? I keep getting my crossbow bolts sticking in middair. I think the BVs are causing problems... I'm working on it and I may have found a solution. ;D
EDIT: how the difficulty on this one BTW? Whenever I've seen it in the server list, people have had pretty high scores. me and my bro found it fairly plain saling till the fleshies came, and then death was swift. Anyone else?

Well, me and Faust managed to complete the map using a NASTY exploit(I'll PM you the screen). Other than that, I really can't remember anything else in terms of bugs, so it's pretty solid ATM.
And it's easy up untill Fleshpounds...

I never survived more than wave 5, but I played alone. And yea I did use the crossbow alot and I didn`t notice anything strange.

I'm fixing that exploit now also once I've managed to do it myself. there definatley was a problem with the crossbow, since now I've done the fix I'm not getting the problem anymore.
